I had purchased one of those knockoff USB-chargers that *claimed* to be compatible with my Zen MicroPhoto. Guess what? Not compatible.
*This* product, however, works exactly like it is supposed to. Wish I hadn't wasted the money on the knockoffs. Just goes to show, you usually get what you pay for. Was this review helpful?

Having used this recharger just once, I find its performance pretty satisfactory. The power adapter recharged my Zen V Plus 8 G.B. device in just a couple hours and it's was easy to use as plugging in a toaster. My only caveat with it is that Creative did not include adapters for international use. This is especially puzzling, since the recharger is designed for this sort of interchangeability: the wall outlet plug part is detachable. Other than this, it seems like a fine recharging device. I originally purchased a Zen Micro when they first came out, and Creative included the wall charger at first. It would have been nice if they had included it with the Zen Vision: M. The product works well, severely cutting down the charge time when compared to USB charging, and is helpful for when you need to charge your player but have no computer available. Its a little bulky for traveling, but does its job well. Recommended if you don't mind paying close to thirty dollars for something that should have been included with the player. I have a Creative 8 GB MP3 player and love it. There was only one negative and that was recharging the battery after use. Because you had to charge from the USB plug from the computer I was limited in my use of the MP3 player when I traveled in my work and I had to stay overnight. I only had a one way charge or usage of the player.
Working along the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana or just traveling in Texas you spend many hours behind the wheel. With the external plug in anywhere charger I can now recharge my Creative player without the need for a computer. Now I have a there and back usage of my MP3 player which makes me happy.
I use the charger at my home instead of the computer. It just makes things more convenient. The player turns off when it is charged on the external charger just as it does when charged by the computer. It seems to take a third less time to recharge than it does on the computer.
