Bought this to use as a USB to ethernet adapter to hook my Tivo Series 2 to my home network. I plugged the adapter in and hooked the patch cable up to my Linksys 802.11b Cable/DSL Router and it perked right up. Total time invested in hook up was less than 2 minutes. This is a great cost-effective wired option for connecting the Tivo Series 2 DVR to your home network.
