Fear not, as the Long Island native bounces back nicely by playing to her strengths as an exceptional balladeer and someone with an ear for a catchy fusion of hip-hop beats and R&B rhythms. Carey's flirtation with rap continues as she shares a mike with Cam'ron on "Boy (I Need You)" while sampling his song of the same name, slips into the slow rollin' "Freeway" with Jay-Z and the groovalicious West Side Connection hook-up "Irresistible". This uber-diva also goes to church with the gospel-flavored "My Saving Grace," admonishes Eminem for starting unfounded rumors of a romance between the duo on "Clown," and does a fine job turning Def Leppard's "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" from a metal power ballad to a smoother lament. All this cathartic venting is topped by "Sunflowers for Alfred Roy," a heartfelt tribute to Carey's recently deceased father. |

5 of 5 Ms. Carey still has it!! Friday, September 12, 2003 Selena from Phoenix, Arizona
Of all Mariah Carey albums Charmbracelet is my favorite. Mariah doesnt use the power of her voice in the high notes she hits but in the words she uses. This is definitely a great album. Was this review helpful?

i really enjoyed this album! i think she needs more hip hop artists on the album because she only sounds good with them! hence the reson y she stole the oh boy beat and chours. i did she do the oh boy bit for camron?? or did she jst copy him! over wise i was satisfied with the tracks and think i just might buy it! 1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 She's done it again! Wednesday, January 08, 2003 thuglove069 from Saipan, MP
Mariah Carey, like most Aries, have tendancies to go to an all time high, then splat into an almost nothing...after much hardwork and dedication, again climbs with, this time, more power. Charmbracelet is a good example of that come back. The album flatters her voice and her creativity, showing the world that she truly is a talented diva. My favorite song on this album is "You Got Me." It's pure masterpiece. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great album! Friday, December 27, 2002 Sandra from Springfield, MA
This album has a great blend of jazz, pop, urban sounds and every song has a unique sentimental lyrics. This cd makes a great gift for anyone that likes to hear good positive songs and not nonsense songs like other artists out there right now. I really like the songs: Saving Grace and Through the rain. I really believe this is going to be a hit everywhere. Was this review helpful?

Mariah Careys CD Charmbracelet, is a soulful, melodic and all around great CD. The Tracks "My saving Grace" is so beautiful and uplifting. Also "Through The Rain" is wonderful and sweet. In this CD Mariah proves that she has not lost her charm one bit and she still has that wonderful, voice that she is known for. I highly recomend this CD, it's GREAT!!!
