I read the review and I decided to give it a try, after I used it I loved it :). The printing option gives you variety of set up that you want to use from best color picture quality to basic black&white document draft. And I'm also amazed on how little amount of ink it used. I got it for $80 after mail-in rebate and it's a total great deal. I came with all the inks and everything else except the USB cord/printer cord, so you may want to get one for yourself.

I was so impressed with my collection of jpgs that I now have 20 8.5x11 prints in frames over my desk. All because of the ip4000 printer. I can not believe that any printer could give better results. The clarity and color are beautiful.

The Canon PIXMA ip4000, when closed, looks more like a breadbox than an inkjet printer. Instead of creating a slick-looking exterior, Canon put the thoughtfulness of its design inside, where it counts. There are several notable features making this printer an excellent value: 1. Most important is the quality of its printing. Photographs, when printed on Canon glossy paper at high resolution, look as if they were produced in a photo lab. There is no visible ink-layering as is apparent with other brands of inkjet printers when viewing prints at an angle. Text also looks good and prints quickly for an inkjet design. 2. Separate ink tanks for each primary color plus black saves money because an entire tri-color cartridge does not need to be discarded when one ink tank is exhausted. There are numerous third-party discount sources for compatible ink tanks, but even if you stick with Canon cartridges your cost per print should be lower than most. 3. Two software-selectable paper sources, on the top rear and from a cassette drawer at the bottom, make this printer particularly convenient for those of us who print text on plain paper and photos on photo paper. The lower paper cassette is adjustable to hold paper of any size from wallet size to 8 ½ X 11. This adjustable cassette would probably be the place where most users would put their photo paper. This printer’s ability to print on both sizes of the paper (duplex) without reloading the paper is a feature usually reserved for much costlier models. 4. This printer can make borderless color prints on 4 X 6 paper that does not have a removable tab. Some other printer brands require paper that size to have a tab on the end, which is a nuisance and adds to the cost of the paper. I haven’t tried or tested any other inkjet printer that yields such excellent quality for this price. Canon has a winner with this model, in my opinion.

Nice looking and lightning fast when handling text. Even though is fast the sound is minimal. Love the low cost per printed page. It supports direct connection to digital cameras (PictBridge). Photos looked great (on photo paper).

Was looking for a new printer to replace my outdated, but reliable Epson. I spent a quite a bit of time researching, reading forums, reviews, and it basically came down to the Epson R300 and the Canon IP4000. Took some convincing for me to leave my loyal Epson brand, but sure glad I did. My photos used to look good, but you could always tell they were from a printer. Now, friends can't tell, amazing quality. As a bonus, the printer is almost slient, and the speed is 2-3x faster than what I'm used to, at the highest setting. Very impressed.

This printer is a deal! I got this printer to print my photos and I am very satisfied. It prints so quickly and so quietly compared to my Epson printer. It used to take me about 2 minutes just to print a 4x6 photo and now it does it in under 30 seconds. The print quality is excellent as well. I got my printer set up and started printing in 15 minutes.

You won't believe the quality of this printer. I haven't compared it to the HPs or other photo printers, but I can't believe they could be any better. And for the cost you just can't go wrong. Buy.com threw in a 20-pack of 4x6 glossy and offered free shipping, so an even better deal. You won't be dissapointed.

The PIXMA iP4000 was a great buy for me. Ordered online on Monday night, delivered to my door on Thursday morning! The printer works better than I expected. No taxes, free shipping, and at a cost of about $30 cheaper than any "box" store in town. Outstanding!

This printer is fantastic! The great photos, multiple paper feeds, duplexing and blazing speed make this printer hard to beat for the money. I have this printer set up on my wireless printserver (Linksys Wireless - G Print Server for USB 2.0 - WPS54GU2) and i get 4 x 6 photos in about 40 seconds! The print quality is as good as I got from my local photo shop. Haven't tried the PictBridge yet, but i am sure it will work great as well. Canon has made a winner.

Once Again Canon has done it. I have Always like the ease of use and excellent print out of canon printers but with this new PIXMA IP4000 i have never been so amazed a big break through of technology this has been i like the duplex effect where you can print on both sides of the paper. Excellent Printer Good Price here at buy.com and UNBELIABLE print Outs youll be amazed!!!
