This is a snug fitting hard case for the SD1000. I don't know if I'd call it leather (or quality leather anyway) but I think this case will do the trick. I wanted a camera case that would be small and protective, and this case seems good for that purpose. If you want a case that can carry an extra battery pack or sd cards, this one does not have pockets and will not fit anything extra. One small annoyance is the fact that the magnet on the front does not seem to be strong enough to hold the case shut. Maybe it just needs a little working in....Overall, this case is simple and effective.
