Well, this battery is exactly the same battery that came with my Canon 870 IS that I received for Christmas. The fact that I need a spare battery speaks volumes for the performance. My sister has a Fujifilm point and shoot and she goes months and months without charging her battery.
This is the second Canon digital I've owned, (the first being an older Powershot S40), and I have the same issue. If you're on vacation and plan to take a bunch of pictures, this battery won't last. I used my new camera with the new battery fully charged for the first time a few days after Christmas and maybe I got 50 pictures out of it before the "charge battery" icon began flashing. And I DIDN'T leave it on between shots.
Canon really ought to work on improving their battery life. If Fuji can do it, so can they. Was this review helpful?
