    We have tried many different usb to serial adapters without much luck (for communicating with timeclocks that we use) and this one worked on the first try.

    I had been using a Radio Shack serial-USB adapter, but it always seemed to have problems. I installed newer drivers and it only got worse including the BlueScreenofDoom. I have been using the Cables Unlimited unit the last few weeks and it hasn't had one problem that I can detect using the same software as I had been using previously. It installed easily and quickly.

    My wife is diabetic and wanted an easy way to track her Glucose readings. Her Bayer Ascensia Countour meter has a cable attachment that comes out DB9. Needed this converter to convert the DB9 to USB since her Sony Vaio laptop has no DB9 ports. This converter worked perfectly. The Bayer software on the laptop saw the meter immediately and uploaded all of her data.
