5 of 5 Awesome Deal! Sunday, March 08, 2009 AntneR from Davie, FL
Of all the choices available for a headset to use specifically for watching TV, I think this one fit the bill the best. The choice of adapters, the rechargeable NiMh, the style, the fit, the channel scan and the sound are all great. I actually bought this for someone else, but I am about to purchase a set myself.
Only had for about a month so I can't speak on llong term reliability, but I have a feeling that will be good also. The only thing missing is the ability to use regular AAA batteries. Buy them, now! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good sound...Reasonable value... Sunday, November 09, 2008 Anil from Santa Clara, CA
I bought this product to listen the TV sound when the kids are sleeping. The sound quality is good and happy with the product. But only problem is wieght. They are not light wieght headphones. Also do not expect much regarding the recharging batteries that come with this product since they are not working properly. Also not sure how long they last but they are working even after 1hr. After main-in-rebate $16 is a great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Sound for the Price Sunday, November 09, 2008 Pat from Boston, Massachusetts
These work well, are easy to use, and the sound is really good quality, better than I was expecting for the cost. I use these with my computer to watch videos, listen to music, take classes, and I'm very pleased. They are comfortable and don't bother my ears the way other headphones do. There's an occasional crack or pop, but doing an automatic scan for a better channel usually corrects that problem and is as simple as pressing a button on the headphones. Great value for the price. Very confortable.
For the price and with rebate this was a great buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 wanted wireless / got what I wanted Tuesday, November 04, 2008 pinman from Manchester, CT
These wireless headphones work fine. The sound quality is good for the low price. I recommend them to anyone not looking for exceptional sound (after all, they're inexpensive) as long as you don't mind walking around the apartment with a large sized set of headphones on.
The headphones are a little tricky to get on the recharger correctly. When making the proper connection, it ought to be almost foolproof, which it's not, meaning you sometimes have to fight with the base for a couple seconds... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Tuesday, November 04, 2008 A Customer from Cypress, CA
The product is easy to use. Very clear but with some interference. But over all its worth buying. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I love these so much I boutht two sets. Sunday, October 26, 2008 bbevansjr from Vicksburg, Ms
I have some hearing loss from my time in the military around jet engines, therefore I can hear people far off, but not up close. When I try to listen to the TV, it is just garble. I saw these wireless headphones and decided to give them a try. After reading a negative review or two about "how hard they are to get in the charging stand and how heavy they are", I tried them anyway. Well here is the low-down. If you take about 30 seconds to see where the charging contacts are and DO NOT try to put both earpieces in the grooves, they charge perfectly. As for the heavy part, BUNK. Because of a back condition and a breathing device in my throat, I am forced to sleep in a recliner. When I go to bed (or recliner), I mute the TV, put on my breathing mask, put on my headphones and sleep like a baby to the sound of music or TV. I love these things so much, I have two pair, and will probably give some for Christmas. These things are the best purchase I have made in a while. I love them. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good wireless headphones Friday, October 24, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta Ga.
The price is right! These headphones work well for my use. Got them for my kid so I don't have to listen to inane TV all the time. If I were using them for quality music listening, the sound insulation on the earmuffs is insufficent, that is, outside sounds filter in. Definitely a good value. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great for gaming, not so much for music Monday, October 13, 2008 VMan from Harrisburg, PA
I have these hooked up to my computer for games and playing music. They work great with games. The sound is very clear and crisp. My problem with these are that when I am playing music through them I hear the volume fluctuating very frequently. This bothers me enough that I find these unsuable for the purpose I intended them for. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent value Wednesday, October 08, 2008 Ronnie from Wellington, FL
I brought these wireless headphones because of the price and it has far exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is excellent and I find the headphones very comfortable. I was concerned because several of the reviews said they were uncomfortable to wear, but I find this is not the case. I would recommend these to anyone. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent for the price I paid Wednesday, October 08, 2008 A Customer from Beaver Dam KY
Sound, range and comfort is good. Value is excellent if you get it discounted. I have not had any problems. They are big. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Buy!! Wednesday, October 08, 2008 rorr1821 from Kerrville, TX
This is the second set of the same brand headphones I have purchased fron Buy com. I purchased them so my wife could use them so I didn't have to hear the TV while I was working. I connected them to the Direct TV receiver and they work great. The RF is far superior to IR because it travels through wall. The sound and reception is great. Also they have a built in charger! This second set I will use in my motorhome. The two negatives are: The rebate from the manufacture is slow to arrive and the head sets are a little bulky. I consider these as minor negatives. If you are looking for inexpensive headphones which work great then you will not go wrong with these. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good sound, range and weight Tuesday, October 07, 2008 A Customer from Hillsboro, VA
This is my 3rd set of wireless headphones. I use them while on my treadmill. What I like about these is their light weight. I also like the one button on/off switch. (The pair I replaced had a switch that was hard to turn off at times because you had to hold it for exactly the right number of seconds) The design is simple and functional and the sound is quite good. 2 of 5 So-so sound quality Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Phillip from Birmingham, AL
These headphones have great range and are easy to use, but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. I returned the first pair I got because they sounded "tinny." Sounds through the headphones have a metallic quality and a noticeable reverb. The replacement set I got sounded exactly the same, so I guess that's just how they sound.
I don't consider myself an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but the sound quality is such that I find it hard to listen to them for very long. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Comfortable, good sound and range Monday, September 15, 2008 Jay from Chester, NY
I used them for a few minutes right out the box with existing charge. They worked perfectly, the sound quality is good and they are comfortable but a little bulky. I connected them to my upstairs bedroom TV and continued to hear the sound downstairs in my kitchen and in the garage. I like the convenience of being able to connect the transmitter to a mini jack or to RCA audio output with the included adapter. I connected mine to my cablebox. I have been using them everyday for the past 3 months. I am very happy with them. I did receive the rebate, making them a great value. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Comfortable, very good sound and range Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Jay from Chester, NY
I used them for a few minutes right out the box with existing charge. They worked perfectly, the sound quality is very good. They are bulky but comfortable. I connected them to my upstairs bedroom TV and continued to hear the sound downstairs in my kitchen. I love the convenience of being able to connect the transmitter to a mini jack or to RCA jacks with the included adapter. I connected mine to the RCA jacks of my cablebox. The only annoyance I encountered once was the transmitter power light kept turning off about every 10 mins. It came right back on after I turned up the volume on the remote to high and then brought it back down. This happened only once. Other than that, I have had no issues. I am very satisfied with them and the excellent price after the rebate which I did receive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value and Impressive Features Monday, September 01, 2008 A Customer from Thomasville, PA
Pro: This is my 4th set of wireless headphones. This unit is vastly superior to the others I've purchased. I really like the Automatic Level Control, the Auto-Off/On function, and especially that I don't have to plug a wire into the headset to recharge. I can just lift it off the charger, switch it on, and I'm listening to very good sound. The receivers rechargeable "AAA" batteries will be easy to replace at the end of their life cycle, not like the other units that I've used which used expensive, hard-to-find, oddball battery packs.
Con: I have 2 issues with this unit. The headband cannot be adjusted, and the around-the-ear speakers are slightly larger than other headphones I've used. Neither of these cons would keep me from purchasing this unit again, or giving it as a gift. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good quality, great price Wednesday, August 27, 2008 Derek from Ely, IA
I've owned wireless headsets in the past that have better sound, but this one is definitely adequate, especially considering the price. Reception is great (admittedly haven't gone more than about 30 feet) through walls. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good headphone for the price Sunday, August 17, 2008 A Customer from Houston, Texas
The sound quality is good, although the bass is weak. The range is ok. For the price, this is a good wireless headphone. I have another wireless headphone from Sharperimage, which is slightly better in sound quality, range, and battery life, but costs about 3 times more. I would recommend this based on its price/performance ratio. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great deal for the price Wednesday, August 13, 2008 A Customer from Raleigh, NC
Good sound quality. No static, or hissing. Very occasional clicks where the sound cuts off for a fraction of a second. These only occur when operating at a distance from the transmitter, or moving around. I do not find the clicks to be a problem. Seated in front of the TV, the headphones are near perfect. True stereo reception. Controls on headphones minimal, just power, volume and button to scan for signal. No bass, treble adjustment. Couple of indicator lights for power, stereo signal. Headphones use pair of user replaceable AAA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, supplied batteries have 500 mAh capacity. I estimate 5-6 hours continuous use per full charge. Headphones are comfortable enough for a few hours use. Charging system works well although care must be taken to make sure headphones mate properly with contacts on the transmitter stand. There is an indicator light on the stand that indicates proper contact. A technical detail, these phones may have trouble using a fixed level line output. Manufacturer recommends using a variable level output if available. If rebate comes through, this is a excellent deal. A good deal even without rebate, because the headphones simply work. 5 of 5 Works Great! Tuesday, August 12, 2008 A Customer from Cleveland, Ohio
I bought this headset because I was not satisfied with the Sennheiser one that I have. The Sennheiser had small ear pads which would slide off my ears when exercizing or just walking. The Cables Unlimited has larger ear pads which do not slide off when active.
Sound is excellent and the value is good. I have not had any quality issues with this headphone. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good headphone for the price Tuesday, August 12, 2008 A Customer from Houston, Texas
This headphone produces very clear sound. It reproduces mid and high frequencies very well, though the bass is a bit lacking. It is comfortable to wear, even though it is big. The other minor issue, as noted by others, is that it can be difficult to align the headphone for charging. Overall, I am very satisfied with this headphone. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent for use at night. Tuesday, July 22, 2008 A Customer from West Hollywood
I bought this to use at night in my bedroom - so that I could watch DVDs without disturbing my roommate. The range is limited to about 25 feet before static sets in, but the sound quality is excellent as long as you stay close. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Late Night TV now much more enjoyable Sunday, June 29, 2008 A Customer from Braselton, GA
I love winding down in the evening with some late night TV so this product has made this much more enjoyable (no more waking up the wife as well). Headphones were very easy to set up and the sound quality is not bad. I can walk all over the house without any degradation to the sound and have not had any problems so far. For the price I paid, I don't believe I could find a better deal on wireless headphones (especially after the rebate arrives). I have also yet to lose a charge on these and they are pretty comfortable to wear. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good price for decent product... wish the sound wo Saturday, June 28, 2008 Jeff from Sacramento, CA
I bought 2 of these with the intention of hooking 1 into both of our TV's for late night viewing. They seem to work OK but there is a strange interference sometimes that makes the sound cut in and out. Sometimes this is annoying other times its not a big deal.
These were quite a bargain but the performance isn't stellar. I'd say worth the money but perhaps invest in better (>900mhz) if you're looking for more reliable performance. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 wish I had bought two! Monday, June 23, 2008 Davi from Pasadena, CA
This was a great deal! The price was $15 after rebate. The headphones are very comfortable. Sound quality is very good. It even came with an iPhone jack adapter and RCA adapters. I wish I had bought 2 of them. Was this review helpful?
3 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 nice inexpensive wireless headphone Monday, June 23, 2008 A Customer from Festus,MO
I bought this unit with rebate unbeatible price. Unit is working very well. Sound quality is excellent and it range is vey wide, able to use outside house. It is ease to use. Only complaints are headphone is alittle bulky to wear and tricky to rechage battery since several time headphone had to be moved for good stand contact. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Great value Monday, June 23, 2008 A Customer from Tooele UT
I was very impressed with the performance of the wireless headphones. The range is fantastic. Brand we were using had only 20 ft range. These can function all through the house and outside. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works as advertised Monday, June 23, 2008 A Customer from Torrance CA
The unit performs well. I get good reception throughout the house and outside across the street.
The headphones are somewhat bulky and warm in warm weather but comfortable. The headphones seat in the transmitter/charger unit which requires a little jiggling to make proper contact with the charger contacts. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great For the Price Sunday, June 22, 2008 John from Cincinnati, OH
I got these headphones for $15 after mail-in-rebate and for the money I am very pleased. They work exactly as described and were easy to set up. Range is pretty good, I had to walk outside on the other side of my house before they completely dropped signal, they started getting fuzzy at about 40-50 feet but that was through a few walls. Audio quality is pretty good, nowhere near as clear as with a low to mid-range wired set but I'm not too picky since I have the ability to walk anywhere in my house with them. Don't expect to look cool wearing these, they look pretty ridiculous but they are very comfortable. They fit my head firm but not too tight and the padding is really nice. If you can get them for less than about $25 bucks I would say go for it, for me it was $15 bucks well spent. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Quality and Comfort Saturday, June 21, 2008 Petey from Charlote, NC
I always wanted the freedom to listen to TV or my computer music without disturbing others. These headsets are the most comfortable I has used even when lying in bed watching TV. The quality is excellent with good stereo separation and tones. The rechargable batteries are a plus and they last for days. The multiple adapters that come with the unit make it connectable to just about any device with an audio outlet. Another excellent deal from Buy.Com Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Bulky, but works well Saturday, June 21, 2008 Kiran from Orlando, Florida
I was looking for a pair of wireless headphones I could use while working out on the treadmill. It serves this function quite well with good sound quality and no interference. However, it's quite big and bulky. Personally, I would not be seen in public wearing it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product plus great price Saturday, June 21, 2008 Brett from Lake Worth, FL
Althought I am not in the habit of writing reviews I couldn't pass this one up. What a great product even if the price hadn't been a factor. The tone is clear. The distance covers all of my apartment and it plugs directly into my stereo headphone jacks which make them portable. The set includes several plug adapters which allows me to use the headset in multiple devices. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product!!! Saturday, June 21, 2008 A Customer from Bay Minette, AL
I am very pleased with this product. It was easy to install and worked right away. The over the ear headphones are very comfortable and the sound is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this product. You can't beat the price at $19.00. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Cables Unlimited 900MHz wireless stereo headset Saturday, June 21, 2008 Zzyvko Marjanovitch from Mountain Home NC
I had purchased a Radio Shack wireless stereo headset 6 months ago. The plastic headband broke on the second day. They said that was not covered by the guarantee. I happened to see the Buy.com ad featuring the Cables Unlimited set and its give-awaye price. How could I lose!
It is very substantial, comfortable, easy to recharge (unlike the Radio Shack model), had convenient volume control and works like a wired model. What more can I say; it is fantastic and what a contrast! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great indoor headphones for the price Saturday, June 21, 2008 Gretchen Macdowall from Arlington, MA
I had a very specific purpose in mind when I bought these headphones. I wanted to wear them to watch movies on the computer with better quality and louder sound. I've been using them daily for about 2 weeks. Paid 35 with a 15 rebate. Certainly worth $20.
Most of the time I am wearing them I am sitting in a chair no more than 10 feet away from the headphones transmitter. However, occasionally I wear them while doing housework and there is no sound problem in any part of the house.
Can't claim to be an audiophile. Movies and music sound "real" to me. There is a volume control on the headphones themselves, which is convenient.
They have a band that conforms to your head by itself, to keep them on, and soft earpads. No problem wearing them for a few hours.
The one negative is form factor. These things are GIGANTIC! You look like a crazy person wearing them, which is a shame because they'd be perfect for doing yardwork while listening to podcasts - no cords to get in the way. Was this review helpful?

I used this one day, now I can not get power to the transmitter, need I say more. I will not be so stupid, as to buy another Cables Unlimited product. If they don't honor the rebate, I will be extra POed. Stay away from this product. Was this review helpful?

The few times this has worked, it's been great. Unfortunately, those times have been very few indeed. I've troubleshooted using all the tips in the manual but to no avail. I would recommend another brand if you're looking for wireless headphones. Was this review helpful?
