Be aware this is a medium quality product. It has some useful features like a remote control that controls playback and volume. There are cables galore included with this product, but the simple one that's not included is an RCA to RCA cable to connect the dock to computer speakers. I have another iPod dock that has a backer to protect from pushing too hard on the iPod and breaking the connector, this one does not have that. It is also not level when I put it on a flat surface, so using the iPod controls are a little tougher because it wobbles.

It's nice to have an assortment of cables on hand for an iPod. It's too bad they're not higher quality, and compatibility issues aren't listed beforehand. There are enough cables to connect an iPod - with power - to 2 stereo systems. That's about as much as you can expect from this. The remote works fine - it really only needs to work well enough to program a universal remote. The lack of video support in the dock for the iPod video was disappointing - if I'd paid more for this I would have returned it. The main things that are missing from this set are a car adapter and a sync cable - both should be requisite for the "Ultimate connection kit" designation. Also, the dock cradle is too small for the dock adapters that come with an iPod, so the iPod stands on its connector rather than being properly cradled. This also means that I have to take my iPod video out of its protective case to fit in the dock.

This kit is a must to go along with your iPod. Has everything you need to have fun with your iPod at your house.

My wife just received an ipod as a gift. We are new to this form of gadget. We learned early on that we needed an additional way to charge the unit. I would also like to play the ipod through our stereo system. I saw the box with all the available cable goodies and options for a very reasonable price. The box arrived full of different items, some of which we have yet to figure out. Some we will not use, but for the price it is a great value and the items that we have used work well with her ipod nano.

the kit contains a very complete set of cables and connections for the iPod. Unfortunately, the main reason I bought the kit, the cradle with s-video and stereo audio out (and a wireless remote), works terrible. The audio connection had a great deal of static, and the s-video connection on the cradle was so flimsy that a reliable connection to the tv was impossible to maintain. The remote didnt work at all. The other cables/etc were satisfactory, but the cradle/remote are a worthless throwaway.

Looks like some have already reported that the video connectivity does not work for the new iPod Classic. Apple has changed it. The rest of the cables work fine but you will have to fork out another $50 for the Apple Composite cable. I had most of the other cables already so this really wasn't a good value for me.

This connection kit has most everything you need to connect your iPod to most anything - including two ways to charge it. One caution: For the iPod Classic, the doc works great for audio. It does not work for video. Apparently, the folks at Apple have modified the iPod so that video only works from the Apple video cable. I was somewhat disappointed at this, but the kit was such a bargain that I can live without that feature. Works great to connect my iPod to my home stereo system - and provides remote control. Hight marks to buy.com. Fast shipping and a great price!

Even though the manufacturer indicates the video dock works with the iPod Touch, the truth is, it does not. The newer gen iPods (Touch & 3G Nano) require an authentication chip and will only work with costly Apple-branded A/V cables. The CablesToGo website still has not been corrected to reflect this. The only reason this product rated as high as a "2" is that the wall charger component works fine; otherwise, the dock is useless for Touch and Nano users.

The adapters work great. Easy to connect and use. Only problem is the volume level out of the stereo is a little low for my liking. I have to turn up the stereo volume pretty high to get a good level.

I just wanted to let everyone know that it is a great buy if you own a 5 gen ipod video because it works great on mine, but I bought 3 of them one for myself and two for Christmas gifts for people who have Ipod Touch's. I also have an ipod touch and to my amazment it does not work with it. Just to let all of you Ipod touch users know and if you know of a trick that I don't please share.. Thanks

I doubt the video feature will work with new iPods. Only Apples new AV Cables will work because Apple requires a special chip built into the attached device to allow the video feature to work. They did this by design so all previous video accessories would not work.

It works good. However, the volume adjustment range is not very wide and I probably will never use the additional cables, but I did not consider this a problem.

Works like it supposed to. Make sure you adjust your ipod settings to allow video out.

This is a great kit for anyone with an iPod and wanting to hook it up to their television, home stereo, or whatever. All of the parts and pieces were professionally packed and arrived in just a few days after purchase. I found that the infrared remote to be small and compact but worked well up to about 30 feet. The docking station was easy to use (just plug it in and go). The USB charging plug works well and is very portable. The only complaint I have about the kit is the overall length of the cables. I would have liked to have seen them be longer in length. Still, for 50 bucks, a great buy!!!

This docking station/cable package for the ipod is all you should need to get started. I was looking for a unit that would allow me to play me Ipod through my home stereo. This unit did the trick. An added benefit is the remote. I have seen packages over $100 for less features.

This AV connection kit gives me everything I need to make my Ipod a really better product. I am sitting here watching videos with my docking station connected to my computer and my speakers connected to the docking station. Really nice. One of the best purchases I've made since buying my 5th generation 60G Ipod.
