when it's not the one advertised. the picture here is of a white cable (and the term "white" is in the title)so one would expect a white cable - the one that is sent is actually computer beige. i bought a cable in computer beige cheaper at Target and the material felt better. i only bought this one because the picture is white, not beige! i'm sorry, but if i want all my mac accessories to match then i should have a white cable. the beige distracts from this and thus this is false advertising. for those who don't care, that is your decision. for those who report prices in the 20s and 30s, i bid you do an online search for cables, you can find them for under a $1 sometimes. i have a feeling the seller is padding his/her reviews. Unless you are on the extreme edge of perfection, these cables are perfect. I looked at Best Buy and their cheapest 3m cable was around $40, so this cable was more than reasonable, even with shipping. I bought 2 in case I needed another one later. Was this review helpful?

If you need to hook up a printer or some other peripheral to your PC, don't spend $20-$30 on a USB cable, it's overkill. This cable is perfect for the job! The more expensive cables may be a little more durable or more resistant to noise/EMI, but for typical home/office PC applications, I don't see any justification in spending so much more on a USB cable. Well, what can you say about a USB cable? That it performs its function of transferring data from your PC to your device without complaining? That it silently conveys your beloved photos in digital form to your printer so that you can lay hands on them and peruse them at your leisure? That it wordlessly cooperates with your other installed devices and ports and works in harmony with your other PC components, declining to comment on the speed of the Firewire cable right beside it?
This one certainly does all these things, and before I wax poetic about a lowly USB cable, let me stop here by saying that I purchased it when it was at a less conceited price. Was this review helpful?
