5 of 5 Easy cheesy! Even my 4-year old can use it! Tuesday, May 05, 2009 One In with Many Outs from Jacksonville, FL
Works like a charm! Hooked up digital set top box, dvd player and wii game console in a snap. So easy to use even my 4-year old can use it! My only issue was that the CR2025 battery for the remote did not last for more than 3 weeks. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The fix for too many gadgets! Sunday, January 25, 2009 Chicky from Rockville, MD
Got a Wii and a Roku for Christmas, add that to an existing DVD sound system, and DirecTV system, and we had to get behind the TV to keep swapping cables out. This Cables To Go box solved the problem perfectly! It even has a remote, so I choose between 3 systems at the touch of a button. Brilliant! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Saturday, June 28, 2008 A Customer from Fort Madison IA
Our Satellite box is not high def yet. So the best picture is on s-vidio. Our TV is high def and has 2 hdmi and 2 component but only one s-vidio. There is no loss of picture quality and we use all 3 inputs. Was this review helpful?

We do not have a high def satellite box yet so the best picture we can get until then is on S-vidio. Our high def tv has 2hdmi and two component but only one S-vidio. There was no loss of picture quality at all. So we have the satellite box ,the PS/2 gaming and the DVD recorder for DVD playback of things we record. On pre recorded movies we use component. 5 of 5 "Just What I Needed!!" Tuesday, February 12, 2008 A Customer from Fairfax, VA
This review concerns the Impact Acoustics s-video/digital optical switchbox. I looked everywhere in the retail stores & the switchboxes that had S-video inputs did NOT have the digital optical inputs & vice-versa; I did find one such box at BB but when I got it home & hooked it up only 1 input provided the playback in color while the other 3 were in black & white!!?? Anyway this box provides just what I was looking for though it does NOT have component or HDMI inputs but again I was not looking for those anyway. Also the size is very compact which was important as this box had to be hooked into another switchbox that was previously there;it works just great & includes a remote control which is just an added conveinience. The shipping was extremely fast as well & I would order from this company again without hesitation! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent optical surround sound switch Friday, January 11, 2008 Long Island Lass from Suffolk, New York
This model has few reviews but is cheaper than the 40324 and that one has tons of rave reviews. The audio ins/outs are exactly the same on both. It's just the video ins/outs that differ. I just needed the audio switching so went for this less costly model and am thrilled with its reliability, quality and digital optical 5.1 surround sound output.
I have a Panasonic SA-HT900 DVD changer home theater (HTIB) and love its audio features, but wanted to upgrade to an upconverting DVD HTIB. Well they don't make the new upconverting home theaters with all the sound features this one has, so I opted to keep it as a receiver and buy a separate Oppo DV981-HD upconverting DVD player and get this selector to switch the one optical digital audio input I have on the receiver between my cable and new upconverting DVD player, and it's flawless. Setup was a breeze. The remote is so convenient and the size of a credit card. I read it can be incorporated into a learning remote's actions too.
Don't let the photo of this unit's back with the strange looking audio plugs scare you. It definitely uses standard digital optical toslink cable and handles 5.1 surround. I think those are just mini-toslink plug adapters sitting in the audio plugs. I pulled them out and am using standard optical cable.
If you don't need to switch component video, save some money and get this model instead of the 40324.
I read so many bad reviews about the passive digital audio switches out there, and most have to be switched manually. This switch is so worth the cost and electricity. It's solid and convenient. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fast transaction, very good product. Friday, November 30, 2007 FabNeon23 from Orangeville, Utah
This video splitter was purchased to replace a very cheap (both in price and in quality). I am very satisfied with the workmanship of this splitter, and its performance.

5 of 5 Great Switch at a great price! Wednesday, March 28, 2007 Nick G. from Phoenix, AZ
This box box does a nice job of switching 3 S-Video inputs to one S-Video output. No signal deterioration, nice clean signal. Very good construction. I do like the included remote control, and the lighted switches on the front panel let you see the status of the switch (on-off, inputs 1,2,3) without being too bright. (The switch can be used without the remote if desired).
I was not able to test the toslink connectors because I do not have this kind of setup, but it is nice to know that they are there if needed in the future.
I was able to program my SONY universal remote (Sony RM-AX4000) with the included remote control, so that I could run a macro to turn on one of my 3 DVD player/recorders, open the DVD drawer, and select the appropriate input on the switch. Fantastic!
Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
