This fax works well for times when I need it. I don't use it that much and it always works. I don't think I'd recommend it for high volume use, but for occasional use, it's a terrific value. I have had to purchase new ribbon because it ships with a limited supply.

I was very pleased when my husband bought me the fax-575. I thought it was a bit small but it gets the job done and it saves space. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I dislike is that it does not have speakerphone. Overall I am very satisfied with the product.

I bought this because they had a really really good sale on it and could not pass it up. I dont like having to run to the local UPS store and pay to have a fax sent off. It copies beautifully. The fax works great too. It was pretty much good to go right out of the box. I purchased a new ink for it because the one that comes with it is for only 30 copies. If you need a fax machine for those times when you need to send a fax off for one reason or another, this is the one to get.

This item is perfect for what I needed, a small personal fax to send those 1 or 2 faxes that I would otherwise need to go somewhere else for.

For the money ($18)you can't beat it. Will pay for itself in just a few faxes. Better than going to KInko's, Staples, etc...It is fast too! Nice product so far, after a dozen faxes. The only thing to watch out for is if you make a lot of copies, the cartridge looks expensive and may be hard to find. The quality of copies are not as good as inkjets, but OK. Buy.com delivers lighting-fast. Good company to deal with.

I've seen this fax in ads for months at twice the price I paid here. When I saw it for under 20 bucks, shipping included, it was a no-brainer. My Panasonic fax has been on the fritz for some time, refusing to feed multi-page documents one sheet at a time. I haven't had a chance to make sure this one doesn't do the same, but it appears to have that under control. Brother has you fax them the registration and they send a confirmation/test fax in return, so you know you have it set up right. Excellent home fax, and even better value.

Only 30 pages with the inital cartridge is kinda lame, but a replacement one that prints way more pages is reasonably priced. The unit looks good, is very compact, and I really don't know how they can sell them at this price; thought this is was a great deal even if I only use it a few times a month.

I got a great deal on this fax machine and couldn't turn it down. It was easy to set up and use. I haven't investigated the price of ink refill. It's small and doesn't take up much space. I thought this is was a great deal even if I only use it a few times a month.

i just needed a fax machine to fax out which this does. it's not quick but i don't fax often. seems like low maintenance. also like the corded handset because it seems all my cordless handsets run out of power the moment i need to use them. great value because price is so cheap. can't comment on cost of ribbon because i haven't needed to buy any yet.

This is a great product especially for such a low purchase price. Great deal; couldn't pass it up. Alot of product for the price. The copy function is great. Now I don't have to run out elsewhere to make my copies. I can do it from the comfort of my home. Can't beat it.

I bought this fax during an after thanksgiving sale and got it for under 20 bucks! I am extremely happy with this fax machine and it features everything you need to successfully fax documents. The only negative is that there is no illumination on the screen, so dark areas are hard to read. One plus is that you can use an external answering machine with this device using the TAD feature. Oh, and caller ID shows up on the screen (if you have the service). Anyway, this is a great fax machine for the price, especially for under 20 bucks!

This is the best deal I have had this lifetime. I would say for what I use it for--faxing 4 to 5 pages a week, this is an extraordinary value, functional and extremely easy to set up for automatic future use. The price in my opinion is over the "steal" category for anyone to obtain. The speed is what gave it a 4, otherwise to me I would give a 6 for the rest of features and the space saving, sleek unit. Go for it! FAL :)

Got an amazing deal on this machine, at under twenty dollars. It's just right for occasional home use, small physical footprint. Voice quality on handset is fair, wouldn't want it as my primary phone. The fax works just as it should, no issues so far.

Well the fax machine was easy to install and very light in weight too. It is very good for personal or home use but u may have to think if u want to use it for business purpose since its not that fast. However, I am really satisfied with the product and its price.

I still can't believe the price that I paid for this great product. I just saw it advertised in this morning's paper for $40.00 more than I paid for it through Buy.com. It was very easy to hook up and operate and it does a great job.

We use this machine to primarily send faxes from home and might receive one or two faxes a month on it. The only complaint is the resolution. Faxes sent from this machine DO seem to have more tiling (and are of poorer quality) on the receiving end than with our other fax machines.

This is an excellent little machine for the price I paid ($20 incl. shipping). Great for someone who occasionally needs to send or receive a couple of pages by fax. Definitely not for someone who needs to fax on a regular basis. The only real downside of this item is the capacity of the starter print cartridge (30 pages). Replacement cartridges seem to be reasonably priced though.

I bought this fax machine more than 2 years ago. I don't use it a lot, a couple of times a month, and mostly to fax out. This is a great product for basic, in-home use. The machine I have is still working fine, but I bought another one today to keep as a back-up. Even tho I don't use it a lot, just the convenience of being able to fax from home is worth every cent.

After 3 weeks I have had no problems, using it 2-3 times per week. Easy to setup, works great with my answering machine. Fax & copies look good for such a small machine. Very fast shipping, arrived in just a few days.

I was looking for a nice little, basic fax machine and the 575 fits the bill. Very pleased with it. Also, couldn't be happier about the price and the prompt delivery (got it the day after I ordered it).

The Brother FAX-575 FAX/Copier has performed well for the two weeks that it has been in use. The set up is fairly intuitive,even for a non-nerd like me. Copies are a bit fuzzy but I didn't buy it as a copy machine.

This fax was at a great price at Buy.com and I could not pass up the buy. I needed a simple fax for the house. I don't send or receive a lot of faxes at home but when you need to receive one or send one and don't want to do it with the scanner and computer this fax fits the bill. It works great and also doubles as a plain paper copier which is great too. For the price you can't go wrong. However if you send and receive a lot of faxes or make a lot of copies you may want to invest in a higher duty machine.

The fax is small so it takes up a small amount of space which is a plus. Easy to use. Sometimes when I am faxing the paper gets stuck(this could have to do with quality of my paper and not the fax machine). Overall the fax is perfect if you are not going to do a lot of faxing.

This fax was very simple, didn't even need the instruction book. I wish it did have a speakerphone function, but otherwise it is a good machine. A tad on the slow side for faxing out but I definatley got my money's worth! I would reccomend buying this machine if you need a plain and simple product.
