| | Professional Reviews | USA Today "...A healthy streak of sick humor that keeps you guessing..." 02/24/1995 p.5DVariety "...A certain manic energy and no-holds-barred attitude....[With] bursts of sheer, irresistible idiocy..." 02/13/1995 San Francisco Examiner 6 of 10 Sandler, who starred in "Airheads," also appeared in "Mixed Nuts," where his part was so small that he was kind of watchable. Perhaps Sandler is someone who can only safely be taken in small, non-toxic doses. I kept asking myself if perhaps Danny Kaye was once as difficult to watch as Sandler, wondering if someday Sandler will harness his talents and develop into a charming, fabulous performer. In the old days, performers used to get good first and then go into movies. Today, performers get on television first. We're raising an entire generation of audience that doesn't know what good is - Barbara Shulgasser Washington Post 6 of 10 Sandler, the latest spawn of "Saturday Night Live," is a sweeter, milder version of Jim Carrey's uber doofus, just as "Billy Madison" is a more kid-friendly version of "Dumb and Dumber." As one character tells Billy in the finale: "Everyone in this room is dumber for having listened to you." - Rita Kempley
