Sounds superfluous, unless you have tried other hubs with Leopard . . . who would believe a simple thing like a USB hub would not work everywhere . . . but it's true. The Belkin product is good design that you can have on your desk with pride. Was this review helpful?

Belkin has done a nice job designing this hub: with 5 ports aimed backward (the wrong way for easy access, the right way for dressing your cords across your desktop), and two ports upward (just wonderful for plugging in items that don't STAY plugged in, like memory sticks, the occasional external drive, etc). My only (minor) complaint is that Belkin has chosen to use the small-ended USB connector to your computer (similar to that used on cameras) instead of the more standard larger-ended connector. No biggee. It has given me not one moment of trouble. Recommended Was this review helpful?

I bought the hub to do away with some clutter and it did exactly that while working flawlessly. Hookup was a breeze and the price was great with the rebate. The hub looks great and is very stable when you plug and unplug devices. I really like the two top plugs for easy USB thumb drive access. Beware, my rebate was denied due to missing receipt. They denied the buy.com invoice was the receipt. Was this review helpful?

This is my second Belkin hub featuring this basic design (five horizontal, two vertical ports). I bought this one to go with my wife's new iMac. This is an excellent design in that the two top ports provide for easy access, very useful for temporary connections such as flash drives, plugging-in a digital camera or even a portable hard drive for transferring data. The small cable management sleeve on the side of the hub is a bonus, my wife uses it to hold the cable for her digital camera dock which helps keep her computer desk better organized. Liked the look and feel and the fact that this is a self powered one. (I had a 4 port hub earlier, which did not work for my cooler, hard disk, printer etc.) The price was attractive and went for it.
Opened the pack and plugged to USB of my XP laptop and everything I had attached to the hub came alive in a second. Absolutely great - the glowing green status lights in the white body is so cool!
Then, took it to my Vista laptop - the hub was not recognized at all. After spending half a day googling, came across a solution to copy couple of files manually from one Windows system folder to another (files like *usb.* from the folder named Device repository or something like that to windows\system32). Everything was alright. Looks to be an issue with Vista!
The only thing which I don't like is the brick-like adapter, but doesn't matter too much.

nice design, and lots of usb ports. design seemed a little weird at first, but then realized it was designed that way so that you could stack multiples on top of each other without losing the 2 ports on top. product performs well. would recommend to anyone needing more usb ports.
