4 of 5 Gets the Job Done Wednesday, April 08, 2009 Vic from Charlotte, NC
My 2nd Gen iPod Touch fits perfectly. Very simple to use. I have a 33 mile commute and am able to listen to my music & podcasts without having to change the tuner once during the trip.
Some days more static is introduced than others, but I've found using the 3rd Pro setting cuts down on static significantly. Audio doesn't sound as good as a direct line, but it's a good option if your car stereo doesn't have an auxiliary input.
Overall I'm pleased with this product and would recommend it to friends. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Gets staticy in NY Metro Area Monday, March 02, 2009 A Customer from Fair Lawn, NJ
It gets staticy in NY Metro area. Worked fine when car was parked at a location. Tuning is a breeze however it is difficult to read the frequency on the device. At $48 it's not pricey. May have to try it out while travelling out of the metro area. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great Monday, March 31, 2008 A Customer from Sugar Land Texas
This device works great. It gets staticy near downtown (not unbearable) but works great everywhere else. Tuning is a breeze and having two user settable channels is a big plus. Switching between the two is a snap. I would definately recommend this product. At $80 it's pricey but I tried the cheap ones and they just don't work well like this one. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worked great on our Trip Saturday, March 22, 2008 Ethan from Glendale, CA
I bought this to take on a recent road trip and it worked beautifully. The sound was a lot better than the other FM transmitters I have tried. I have used it in a couple of other cars since and had the same results. I was a little unsure when I purchased it because it is one of the more expensive units that are out there, but I have a few other Belkin products and they have all been worth it. The construction is very sturdy and easily accommodated the other cars I have used it in. The best part about this is the button that automatically finds a clear station to play it on. I can always find a station that sounds good quickly and easily. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Tuesday, February 12, 2008 Barbara M. from Talent, OR
We had used a cassette adapter for listening to music on the iPod, but this is so much nicer. Plug it in and it holds the iPod; no more cords and iPod sliding around. I like being able to glance down and see the name of the artist and song. It is easy to use the click wheel when it's being held right there for you. We are in a more rural area, <200,000, and the reception is great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It works with iPhone and there's no static Monday, January 28, 2008 A Customer from Houston, TX
This is the fourth FM transmitter I've tried since getting my iPhone in September. I was so surprised and relieved when it actually worked. The previous model of the TuneBase wouldn't interface with the iPhone at all. This one does great. The sound quality is MILES above the Kensington Liquid FM transmitter. I'm in Houston, and we have a ton of radio stations and bleed-over, so there's not many free frequencies, but the TuneBase is the first one I've tried that can overpower all the static and bleedover from other stations. I'm very happy with it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Good FM Transmitter Thursday, November 29, 2007 A Customer from Minneapolis
I've been using this device the last few weeks and am very pleased with the performance, the clear scan feature is great to have as I travel in and out of the cities. It also has preset stations that are useful. I have recommended the Belkin to friends that are tired of trying to find the best station by manually scanning up and down the turner and transmitter.
