Belkin TuneBase FM Transmitter for iPod - F8Z049-BLK

This plugs into the lighter socket very solidly and the flex is stiff enough to hold the ipod in any position wish. It has adaptors for all kinds of ipods. It integreates excellently with the ipod and is very easy to change to any (not just a few) frequencies so you can always find unused radio space. Works very well in our sprinter van uainf the 80G Ipod. I couldn't be more pleased. This is a sophisticated, well conceived item. I felt like I was stealing it at the price I paid.

I get static in every station I listen to. I've even tried it in other cars with no luck.

I bought this to use in my GMC Envoy which has an old fashioned antenna on the front hood. While the transmitter was easy to set up and I liked the way it holds the Ipod, the reception was poor, filled with static and even had moments of dead air. I'm going to try it in my wife's Subaru and see if it works better in that car. I replaced it with the monster cable transmitter which works great, but doesn't "hold" the Ipod.

I've tried several transmitters for my iPod and many of them don't work very well at all or created a lot of clutter in the center console of my car. This product by Belkin is ideal for anyone who wants a transmitter that is clutter free and makes sure your iPod isn't sliding all over your car. The only drawback of this product is that the transmitter has to be set to a channel that has no other transmissions on it, otherwise the signal is rather crackly. Overall, this product is the best transmitter for an iPod I've used yet.

I was looking for a FM transmitter for a long time. i found few cheaper ones with my friends which has more disturbances. so i looked for one without much disturbance, after getting this product, i didnt expect it to be so clear in sound quality. it has not disturbance at all. Worth for the money you pay.

This product is handy in that it does allow you to listen to your ipod over your car's FM radio- if you're like me and don't have a cassette player anymore, you can't use a cassette adaptor, so short of replacing your entire stereo with an ipod compatible one, this is the next best choice). It's also handy in that it charges the portable device. It has its limitations, however, especially in urban areas (like mine in Southern California)- it's hard to find a clear radio frequency, and interference is inescapable. This leads to sometimes-fuzzy sound (like listening to a weak radio station)If you don't expect too much, you won't be disappointed. It probably works a lot better outside of highly populated areas.

Im very happy with my TuneBase, is good quality, the only one thing I dont like is you have to turn up realy high your volume to be able to listen the music, but anything else great

The Belkin product works great. The base is stable and allows for you to adjust where the iPod is on the dash so it doesn't block any important climate or radio controls. Being able to charge the iPod while playing as a vital feature. While using an FM transmitter is not quite as good as directly wiring it to the car, it is far easier and has good fidelity if you find a freqeuncy that is un-used and has no channels next to it. Great product and value.

The Belkin Tune Base for iPod is as good as it is supposed to be. Actually, I think it is better than I expected. The signal is consistent and the sound quality is excellent. I have no regrets with my purchase!

I have 2 iPods, and one of them (I think they refer to it as the '3G') does NOT integrate with this device. In other words, all the cool features like auto-turn-off, showing the FM frequency on the iPod, etc, don't work with the 3G model. But, the iPod Mini works very nicely with this unit. One issue is that if your iPod loses charge you have to manually go and start playing the music on your iPod which is slightly annoying because it forgets what playlist you were on, etc. My other gripe is that I wish the neck was longer so I could arrange it more easily to see the iPod. But overall you won't be disappointed!

Plugged it right in, tuned radio to dead spot. Installed my "Nano" in to the cradle. Adjusted the up down arrows on the cradle to the same CH. as my radio. "TUNES!!" through my van's speakers. BUY.COM had my order delivered in days. Good service all the way around!

This is a good transmitter for the price, although sometimes I get some static(not extensive though)...but that could be from neighboring cars using the radio. In all I'm satisfied with this product and would recommend it.

I tried a few fm trans. All were crappy here in NYC. This one works great and looks good also. Minor static inside NYC but damn clear in the other boroughs. i love it.

The Tunebase works great. It comes with attachments for all iPods, so i'm able to use it with my iPod Video and iPod Mini. Very sexy, must have add-on for any iPod owner.
