    Bought this item from Buy.com to replace a first generation Belkin cable (white) that was lost in a recent move. It was a third the retail price and FREE shipping. Can't beat that! In addition, this version has even better construction with metal barreled connectors rather than plastic and thicker cabling. I do not use it with an Ipod, but rather an Apple Airport Express (wireless router) to send Itunes audio to my surround sound system. The sound quality is exemplary, and I don't believe there would be any benefit to more expensive cables. A great value!
