Having 3 ports is important as the number network ready devices increases. The Powerline AV+ acts a hub for connecting up to 3 devices to the internet. Now you can stream and download media content directly to your gaming consoles, Set-top boxes, IPTV, computers and other Network ready devices without the latency and dropped connections sometimes exprienced with wireless signals.

Setup of Powerline is simple with its plug-and-play connectivity. Connect one adapter to your router and plug into an available electrical outlet. Plug the second adpter into an available wall outlet and connect the other end to any device with an available Ethernet port such as a gaming console, set-top box, or computer.

It's so nice to get a product that does exactly what it supposed to do. I hooked the 1 port adapter to my linksys router and the the three port to an Xbox, a direct TV dvr and a PC by the entertainment center. My son says the lag time on the Xbox is gone. I can get movies on demand from direct TV, and i can still use the media PC. I'm planning on converting all my wireless pc's to powerline ASAP. I'll use the wireless for the 3 laptops in the house. The speed on all the components is amazing. Buy.com got the items here quickly as usual.
