I looked at all different kinds of USB hubs, and this one was the best bang for the buck! It's powered, so it's FAST & you never have to worry about any of your devices not working from lack of power from the computer, or slowing your computer down with the power drain. It's really small and simple, and does just what you want it to. Some hubs are fancy looking...but how fancy can you get with tons of cables sticking out of it? Be practical. Mine just hides behind my monitor. I could actually use even MORE ports...but this will be just great. I'm not super technical, so I don't know how it all works, but with all my external devices plugged into the hub, and the 1 cable plugged into one of my Macbook's 2 USB ports...I was able to transfer files from my laptop to my 2TB external hard drive, and SIMULTANEOUSLY transfer files from my 500 GB external drive to the 2TB drive. as perfect as this little thing is for my space I have to mention that the powercord is ridiculously short. it's like 2 feet long which is obviously stupid and i was just lucky enough that it was a decent length for where i wanted it. but were it not for that flaw i would rave about this thing all day long. its great. no lights no blinking, just a smooth sleek black finish Was this review helpful?
