So simple an idiot can use this! I was able to clear the desk of all equipment except the monitor, mouse and keyboard... now I have real working space!!
Cable length, I think they are 8', is a big plus - they are several feet longer than D-Link's KVM; the long the cable the more flexibility you have in the placement of your equipment.
Keep in mind that this is for a PS2 mouse and keyboard, not USB.

One drawback of this device is it doesn't have a physical switch which allows you to switch from one device to another. It's all auto-sense. So if you have one cable connected to a PC and the other connected to an external TV tuner, you can't use the TV tuner by itself without the PC on because only the PC has a keyboard for you to do hotkey switching. This switch works just as I hoped it would to transfer me between my home desktop and my work laptop computers. Had a little problem with the laptop not having a PS2 port for the keyboard and mouse but bought another Belkin product, USB to PS2 cable, and that solved that problem. Was this review helpful?

I installed this KVM to one windows2000 machine and one Linux machine and a Dell FP2001 LCD monitor, without even rebooting the two computers. Everything works fine. Video quality is good. Hot-key works for both machines. I'm very satisfied. Was this review helpful?
