| | | | Belkin networking presents its latest innovation, the 802.11g Wireless Desktop Network Card. The Card works as an ideal standalone to give you instant networking capabilities. It features breakthrough 802.11g technology that makes wireless file transfers and downloads faster than ever before. 802.11g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. The Card sets up on any desktop PC, with the simplicity of Plug-and-Play technology. It slides easily into the PCI expansion slot to enable a wireless connection to your network. 54g technology is the easiest wireless network to implement. The Card uses the wireless 802.11g 2.4GHz standard to offer you the widest working range-up to 1800 feet-and greater interoperability in mixed networking environments. 802.11g is backward-compatible with the 802.11b Wi-Fi networking standard, so it allows you to implement faster wireless technologies in combination with existing 802.11b Wi-Fi networks. An added Turbo Mode feature isolates your network from 802.11b wireless clients and allows your network to transmit data at the highest 802.11g data rate.

5 of 5 Belkin does it again Saturday, August 09, 2008 boomer from Bellevue, WA
Just picked up this PCI card to link my old desktop computer, running XP, downstairs to my wireless network. The install was a snap, had it up and online in about 15 minutes. Don't forget to follow the instructions. I have always had good fortune with Belkin products and this experience was the same. Buy.com service and delivery were impeccable. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Almost perfect Monday, March 31, 2008 DBS from Lowell, MA
Works fine with XP/SP2, easy install, friendly and useful control sw, etc. My only complaint is that it seems to have trouble with the initial connection to my access point (WEP 128 bit, shared key mode - sorry, I forgot the brand/model). Almost every time, it comes up strongly "connected" signal-wise, but complains that the data path through the router is blocked. I click "disconnect" and then "connect" and it's fine. It also keeps the high speed connection very well. It's a mystery why it doesn't just connect right the first time, since the second time always succeeds. I think it's a WEP implementation issue of some kind.... possibly the router's fault, but it's impossible to tell for certain. A minor irritation, but worthy of note. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Does what it says. Tuesday, December 04, 2007 A Customer from New York, NY
Not much to say. The products works as it ought to. I suppose that's the best thing you can say about any product. I feel the price was reasonable and so I am happy with my purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 No problems. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Muskegon, MI
This card installed very easily. The only issue we had was using the included drivers. When we let XP load its own drivers, the install was completed without any additional issues or delays. The also has good range and good speed. Our wireless router (ActionTec GT704WG from Verizon DSL) is on one floor at one end of the house, while the computer with this card is on another floor at the other end.
I would certainly recommend this card to anyone needing a good wireless card with fairly simple installation. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great. Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Schererville, IN
Works perfect with my Belkin router. Set up instructions were a little different than what was on my screen compared to the paper text that was supplied with the product but other than that it works great. Connection is very strong and it seems to work just as fast as my wired connection I used to have. Was this review helpful?

I purchased this to replace a USB wireless adapter that would not work on my son's PC. This adapter worked great the first time and immediately connected to our home wireless network without any problems. Was this review helpful?
