 Editor's Note
Though the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA of the 1970s is primarily known as a kitschy cult favorite, this darker incarnation is beloved by critics and fans alike. The series follows the last surviving humans who are at war with their own robotic creation, the Cylons. The man-versus-machine concept may be a genre clich, but the show brings intelligence and a healthy dose of social commentary to the table. After the season three finale revealed four of the "Final Five" Cylons, the fourth season finds the return of a friend they thought they'd lost: Kara "Starbuck" Thrace (Katee Sackoff). But will she lead the humans home to Earth or will she fulfill the Hybrid's doomsday prophecy? BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 4.0 also features the TV movie RAZOR, which bridges the third and fourth seasons of the series. The film follows Lee Adama's (Jamie Bamber) first experiences leading the battlestar Pegasus, but RAZOR also takes viewers back to the Pegasus commanded by Admiral Helena Cain (Michelle Forbes, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION).

 | Battlestar Galactica: Season 4.0 - DVD Review By: Rafe Telsch - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 1/5/2009 8:42 PM | | Battlestar Galactica is a series that isn't afraid to change. While I'm not about to go into spoiler territory and openly admit how this half of the season ends, it's sufficient enough to say that it's a paradigm shift that overshadows the revelation of the hidden Cylons, the brewing civil war, and all other dynamic changes the series has undergone. ...read the full review |

5 of 5 Best TV ever! Monday, March 30, 2009 jg from Elizabeth, CO
This, for those who haven't watched it, is NOT science fiction, but a drama of the human condition set in a foreign environment. No monsters, no laser guns, no transporters - just people trying to stay alive. And, the writers have, almost always, done so in a way as to make us interested in the characters, even when they're deeply flawed. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good DVD Tuesday, February 03, 2009 Wayne from Fort Wayne,IN
Series is very good. Story does run alittle long. Seems to be more action in this series. Was this review helpful?
