After I bought the product, a little line appeared on the left side of the screen and it started to grow everyday, I don't recommend you to buy this product.

I love this little computer! I intend to use it as a take-with-me-everywhere computer. I appreciate the many features that it has and how easy it is to use. The little speakers actually sound really good and I'm still trying to figure out how to use the camera. The keyboard is little and the placement of some of the keys are a bit tricky when you are used to a regular keyboard. But that doesn't bother me that much because it isn't my intention to replace my PC or laptop with this computer.

I have the EEE PC 4G with 512mb ram, and I am so very impressed by this little computer. It is so compact that it easily fits in my purse. It is VERY fast...approx 30 sec start up time. (I'm almost ready to scrap windows on my PC and go with Linux!) It is very easy to use right from the box. If you are adding new programs to it, the learning curve is very small. There is also great user support on http://forum.eeeuser.com <p> I love the web cam. Upgrade Skype to 2.0 and you have a great video phone. I have spent hours using it and it's great with both a wired (CAT5) connection and with the wireless connection. The microphone is good too. <p> All the office programs are directly compatible with Office, so I just copy the files to my thumb drive and swap between my EEE and PC seamlessly. <p> I LOVE Firefox, so I'm thrilled that the EEE come with this standard. I also use Thunderbird for my gmail accounts, and Lightning for my calendar. I can sync my calendar to Google and have my info where ever I go. (just make sure you export a copy of your calendar to your EEE just in case you do not have a WiFi connection) This is MUCH better than any PDA I have ever owned! <p> The small size of the screen and keyboard doesn't hinder it's use at all. When you first start typing on it, it's a little sloppy. I was not able to type nearly as fast as I usually do. Surprisingly, once you get use to pulling your stance in, you can actually type quite fast on it! The screen is very clear and easy to see. I have had no problems with anything. <p> The SD slot makes expanding the hard drive very simple and versatile. I have even put movies (mp4) on a thumb drive and played them on my EEE. They'll play off the SD card as well. It was great for traveling and takes up a lot less space than DVDs. <p> My brother (a pilot) got one too. He loves that it fits so well in his flight bag, and it's speed. In fact, everyone in my family is now looking at getting one after playing with each of ours. My husband thinks that he'll take mine with him when he travels, but I told him to get his own! <p> It is a fantastic portable computer, and can do all the basics that you could want plus more. Just get it...you'll be thrilled!

This PC comes with Open Office which is fully compatible with Microsoft Office; Word / Excel / Powerpoint, etc. It has firefox and a bunch of other great programs. The best part about this laptop is the size and weight. It is really small, fits almost anywhere and weighs less than 2 lb. I really like the built-in wifi so that I can surf anywhere with a hot spot or in my own house with my wireless router =) Great buy !!!!!

This is a near perfect implementation of a great idea. While not a replacement for a full sized machine, the Eee PC is perfect for reading and sending email, short notes, and web surfing. The Linux operating system is "locked down" to protect users from self-created problems. The compensation for this is an easy to use tabbed menu system with enough open source software to satisfy anyone. The software list includes Microsoft compatible Open Office, Firefox web browser, and Thunderbird email as well as a number of other useful products. Even an inexperienced user could get the hang of this system quickly. The hardware is responsive, including the small but usable touch pad. The built-in SD slot allows extra storage to be added in a snap. There are three USB ports, a wired lan port and built in WiFi. The device is perfect as a second computer for reading email in bed, or as a carry along on trips. As an added bonus, the system handles multimedia flawlessly. So, if you have the savvy to rip your DVDs to an SD card, you don't need to drag a portable DVD player on trips.
