Acer X223WBD 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1680 x 1050, 5ms, 2500:1, DVI - Black

24" and 1080p 23" seem to be the sweet spot size/price monitors right now. I picked this narrow one because of deskspace needs and it was on sale. I was hoping it would be brighter. The price is great. Using VGA I had a problem with screen being off-center -- switching graphics card freq from 60hz to 59hz fixed it.

The monitor came quickly from Buy.com, and it was handled well (no major dents or cracks in the box). The Acer X223WBD came with both DVI and VGA cables (power too). It was immediately recognized in Ubuntu 9.04, and the screen looked crisp and colorful. The resolution was automatically set by the OS, and the auto-set feature of the monitor worked great.

From ordering to setup, the whole experience has been flawless. The monitor is great and for the price, just not sure why anyone would pass on it.

It would be a total 5 if it had height adjustment and USB ports. Value for the $$ it's fantastic. No dead pixels, delivery was prompt. If you're looking to upgrade on the cheap without the product being cheap, this is it.

I have been using this screen for about a month now and it works on all levels. I surf the internet, use Office 2007, play games and this monitor handles it all. All this for a great price.

Purchased as gift for programmer child who needed more screen real estate. He's thrilled, and it looks good to me peering over his shoulder. The monitor has NO bells or whistles--no adjustable stand, USB port, speakers, etc--but it was cheap and it works.

This is a great monitor, resolution and contrast look good. the only inconvenience i experienced was the flimsy base. when the monitor rests on the flat desk, it leans to one side because of the weak base. all that needs to be done is put a piece of folded paper or cardboard under one side of it to level it out. other than that it is a great monitor for a good price.

I've been using this LCD monitor with my home computer for about a year. Recently purchased another one for my office. No problems whatsoever. The picture is clear and bright. No bad pixels. Easy setup right out of the box. Secure VESA standard wall mount. Can't beat the price.

I had hoped for a decent monitor with no problems and good color and performance. I hardly paid any attention to this monitor after the SIMPLE set up. Then a few minutes later as I was working on something it hit me. This is a really fine monitor with brilliant colors and excellent features. I have no "down sides" to this monitor at all. Maybe the adjustment controls could be a little more intuitive in their layout. Excellent product.

I use this monitor daily for extended periods and it is easy on the eyes and produces very sharp rendering. I think it is a very good buy.

At this price is was a great deal for a quality product. I am a very happy camper, the large screen is very easy on tired eyes.
