    After setting it to 1920 x 1080 resolution on my video card, the image was crystal clear and diamond sharp. The design is great and the monitor makes my desk setup look super sleek and high tech. The touch sensitive menu buttons took a little getting used to but they are a nice addition. My one gripe is the audio quality. Since it takes an HDMI input I was hoping the quality of the integrated speakers to be decent. However, after plugging it in and playing my music, I found the sound quality to be sub-par. My non-multimedia oriented laptop has better quality speakers than this monitor. Although the speaker quality isn't a major concern for me since I primarily use headphones and secondarily use my peripheral speaker setup, I was hoping for something better. The montior can also tend to be a little warm after a period of use, but that's probably typical of most monitors. In conclusion, this is a great monitor at the price I got (on sale) and I loved the smooth and quick free shipping that buy.com offered. However, be prepared to have another audio solution that doesn't incorporate the monitor's integrated speakers.

    This monitor replaced my 3 year old ViewSonic 19" LCD that died a few months after the warranty expired. I don't use my computer for gaming or watching movies, so I've been scratching my head as to why it's nearly impossible to find a non-widescreen monitor nowadays. I finally acknowledged that you get much more (bigger, better specs, speakers, more inputs, etc.) for less money with widescreen... The width is a bit annoying/overwhelming for reading text, but I'll probably get used to it. Happily, this Acer is every bit as good for text/browser clarity as the ViewSonic, possibly better. Installation was automatic on Win XP Pro. My only complaint so far is the extremely long lag (10 seconds) for it to wake up from hibernation.

    I work mostly with text and went from a 5 year old CRT. The conversion was effortless. The picture quality is better than I expected. Using VGA. Text is crystal clear. My sons Apple is nice but frankly this looks just as good. Can't comment on games or sound, don;t use either. Gonna order another for my wife.

    I bought this monitor last week for $30.00 more, plus tax at Best Buy, and it was a real bargain at that price---Buy.com's price is a steal. This monitor replaced a 20" Samsung which pales by comparison. This Acer has an incredibly sharp, clear picture AT EVERY RESOLUTION I TRIED!!! (A rare feat with LCD's). Picture was beautiful out-of-the-box with virtually no tweaking required. Plus, just a great all-around feature set. Buy it, you won't be disappointed!

    I've only had this monitor for a day. It replaced a high-end 21" Dell LCD that was 4 years old. I'm so glad my old monitor broke now. This monitor is enormous, looks great, great picture, great price, arrived quickly. Very high resolution and no stuck or dead pixels as far as I can see. Comes with all the cables you need. Didn't try the speakers, I already have good speakers. Extremely happy with this purchase.

    WOW! That's all I can say to describe this awesome display! The real estate on this thing is great and I will be buying another to add to my system. No dead pixels and the contrast is amazing. I'm using it for my CAD/CAM 3D software and it was a very nice improvement from my 19" CRT.     A great looking monitor! I wasn’t sure how I would like the gloss as opposed to a flat finish, but it is truly elegant. The touch controls on the front of the monitor function well. No dead pixels and I adjusted the brightness very easily as I felt it was a bit too bright for me. I thought that Buy.com did an excellent job for their website to home delivery.

    The price and quality you can't beat. Took my old Acer 22" to work and use this as my monitor at home and couldn't be happier. Modern style and would think it is a flat screen TV. Great 3 cable options. Don't buy it for speakers. Great that there is speakers just don't expect to be blown away. I still use my desktop speakers and amp. Haven't used the HDMI port only DVI. HDMI is one reason why I did purchase this monitor. Mainly for future use if my CPU crashes. I could use as a second monitor from my laptop or gaming with PS3.

    The monitor has a great picture and the three different cable hook ups are awesome. The only thing that i didn't like is that i could not use the HDMI cable and get sound on my speakers. The sound will only play out of the monitor speakers. Other than that it is very nice

    At the time I bought this, it was a great value. I love this monitor. The piture is beautiful and the contrast is fantastic. There are only 2 things that put me off a little. One it the lack of height adjustment and I understand it can cause a problem with stability in the larger monitors. The second issue for me is the gloss black finish. While it is aesthically pleasing, it does collect dust. A matt or flat finish would better suit me. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and Buy.com is fantastic! I ordered on a Wednesday at 2:00p.m., added the $5.00 for priority handling and reciecved my order within 24 hours! I do live near the warehouse though.

    No dead pixels on arrival. Received in two days. I bought this for a second monitor to my laptop and it was plug and play. Quality is very nice using the vga connection so I'm sure it has more potential. The screen is really bright and when using on photos this is nice, however it can be too bright for other applications but the touch controls are easy to use to change the brightness. I will be buying another one to have more monitor space.

    Just got this monitor in today and hooked up to my trusty mac mini. I had to remote in to the mac mini in order to get the monitor to stay on for me to get the sys prefs to a lower resolution size. It won't accept the native resolution as it is set at a 60 mhz refresh rate.. Cant move it to 75mhz. Monitors with DVI look crisp and clear. This one looks like I am using junk Microsoft PC with a VGA cable. Acer's website doesn't list this monitor at all in their system. A big waste of time and I blew a coupon that I cant use again. If you are a MAC USER pick something else...
