Have been using this for several months now and it works quite well. I love how cool the blue light looks at night when no other lights are on. I also like the fact that the USB plug has a "pass through" that allows you to plug in another USB device so you don't "waste" a slot. The only small gripe is that the wire that goes from the USB plug to the cooling pad attaches to the side of the USB plug, making it hard if not impossible to plug in another USB device on that side of it. It is fairly quiet and seems to cool real well. Since I always use my laptop in the closed position on a hard surface as it is running an external monitor, I felt I needed a cooling pad and this one seems to do the trick quite well. This is a cheap piece of junk that I'm amazed Buy.com sales. The fans are exposed underneath so if you use it in your lap or on the bed the blades get hit. the legs on it are uncomforable and the rubber pads fell off each leg within 2 days. Save your money and don't buy this cheap piece of plastic. Was this review helpful?

I am totally disappointed after buying it....not very handy and managable....it is not at all possible to keep the laptop on it....sticky parts are not attaching laptop with it.....u cant place ur laptop on it..always it will be coming down and u have to adjust....so not worthy at all Was this review helpful?

The product is good and worth the money. The only real drawback I found was the open fans on the bottom of the unit. Without protected housing for each fan, when I used it on the bed, the bed cover was allowed to hinder the fan. On solid surfaces, there is no issue. Was this review helpful?

This product is effective in it's efforts to be cool both in primary purpose, and asthetics. However, it misses the mark in being a "quality product". Why? It is cobbled together by the cheapest labor, using cheap materials, and done so in a fashion that does not appear to be long lived (I reserve the final judgement on this for a future date). I could easily have built this very product using the parts of computers past still around my house.
All in all I'm pleased with my purchase as it only truly cost me $7.00. If you are looking for a cheap way to cool down your investment this is an option - however for a couple of bucks more you can have options like USB pass-thru connector, multiple fan speeds, and an enclosed casing for the air ducting. This is a great product, especially for the price.
When the package arrived I was surprised at how lightweight it was.
It a nice unit! I use it on my 17" Laptop and my 15" Laptop. It has these little rubber strips that keep the computer from sliding off. The angle of the product allows extra air to rush in. Has little rubber bumbs on top to raise front of laptop, which is nice.
Nice price for the cool products. This is good invest on colling your laptop.

My HP Laptop had been running for about four hours before this test. After I put it on the Cooling Pad for about 5-10 minutes it already cooled the notebook and started to dissipate the air flow. The bottom vent cooled down 7 to 10 degrees in that little amount of time, so I am impressed by that.
If your notebook sits on the Cooling Pad all day while you work, you will definitely notice a cooler notebook.
All you have to do is plug the included USB port into your notebook and the Cooling Pad starts cooling in seconds. No software or extra power adapters. The fan helps push the heat away from the notebook, so if the Cooling Pad is on your lap it can be a little warm. Was this review helpful?

This is the worst choice, I ever made. It is of cheap quality and poorly designed. When I tried to remove my laptop after 10 minutes on the pad, the pad got stuck with my laptop. When I removed it with force, part of the rubber support stuck with my laptop. For a pad that is inclined by an angle, the stands are not angled which makes the area of contact to only few millimeters. This is the worst design. My laptop still remains hot even after sitting 3 hrs on the stand. Within half a day of receiving this, I have contacted buy.com for a return and refund.
