I see I'm not alone here. I also got a dud. It worked fine for months and then just stopped working. It's a very nice design, but if you want something that will last, try something from another company.

After 5 months it finally died on me, but it was still a great product for the price. I would definatly buy this again since it made downloading my imaages superfast! Just dissapointed that I can download the images that I have now :9

Product is small and easy to use. Plug into USB port and snap the back down and insert flash card. Will read SDHC cards. Shows up as a "Drive" on your WinExplorer. Recommend for SD or SDHC cards.

Bought this to read the newer SDHC cards. Worked fine for a couple of months, then wouldn’t read any SD cards on any computer. Recognized as removable media, but wouldn’t ever read the card. Threw in the trash can and bought a name brand. You get what you pay for..

I bought 2 of these a while back. I decided to buy 2 more to have on hand for gifts. These perform well for the $$. Great product!

So far, no complaints. Easy to install and work. I just think the plastic casing could have been better made. Also the keychain hole is not the right size, I think. It's also kinda bulky and I think they could have made it a little smaller. Anyway, besides cosmetics, it does work well and can't beat the price!

Works fine. I have a 2GB micro SDHC card in an adapter inside this reader and it works fine.

This card reader does exactly what I bought it it to do and the price was very reasonable. I bought it to transfer pictures from my camera's SDHC card to the PC. Transferring from the camera itself was sooooo slow.

My computer doesn't read SDHC cards so when i saw this product on sale and being such a great price, I gave it a try. I've had it a few days and it's great! So fast. I no longer have to use the camera and wire to tranfer the data! But not only that I finally got to see how fast pictures can be downloaded! It's super fast even w/ videos!!!! Great BUY!

You will need an SDHC card reader in order to read the new sdhc cards. SDHC cards cannot be read in traditional readers. This card is great because it can be used as a usb drive.

Great Inexpensive Product! I had an older card reader that would not open a 4gb sd card, but with the purchase of the SDHC Card Reader, I have no problem! It's great for transferring large files to other computers!

A couple or our computers have built-in SD card readers that will not read SDHC cards. This adapter works perfectly with a 4GB and 8GB card and works with Linux and XP. Cheap solution and fast delivery.

I had bought an SDHC card, not realizing I needed a special reader for it. So I ordered this reader and it works great and very quick. I can now plug it into any USB port on any computer and access the card. I hightly recommend this and it was very cheap at Buy.com.

This works great with SDHC (high capacity) cards. I use it to transfer photos from iPhoto on my computer and then plug the SDHC card directly in to my digital photo frame. Great price on this too!

Very useful; actually turns your SD card into a "thumb drive." I do not use these very often, but when I do I appreciate their smart design and user-friendliness. I believe this is the direction that the car stereo market will be 5 years from now (all digital storage devices). Great price and cool gadget! Thanks!

i bought an Micro SDHC card for my cell phone, but the reader that came with it would not be recognized by laptop. a quick conversation with the manufacturer made me aware that i need a High Capacity reader. i got this one at buy.com, it was cheap and easy to use and did exactly what it needed to do. wish that everything was this easy in life.

This is a very handy item for the price. If your PC does not read SDHC (High Capacity) cards that are now common in most digital cameras then this is the item you need. It is very easy to use and allows you PC's to read 8GB cards, and higher.

This is a very convenient, well-priced option for anyone looking to read SD cards on your compute. Thus far it has been great for me. My only concern is the plastic covers it has to cover both the SD slot and the USB connector. It feels like they could easily break off, however the device should still work even without these covers as they are only for protection.

Works well and fast, looks nice. The best part of this reader is where the SD card is inserted. You pull off the backside cap and slide it down and back (it stays connected to the unit) then you insert the SD card and put the cap back on to keep the card protected. I'm knocking off one star because the front cap comes off completely like in the picture. The oddest part is if I wasn't even introduced to the stay connected cap design of the SD card part, I wouldn't even have known and given it 5 stars. It's still good otherwise, free shipping is why I bought it here.

Had this item for 2 months. So far so good. Really cool since you have the option to use it as a reader for multiple cards or as a flash drive by leaving the card in the reader. There is a cap at both ends...one to protect the card and one to protect the connector. It's plastic, so be careful not to step on it. Nice size so it's hard to loose on your desk or a purse. I would rather have this than a flash drive since you can upgrade and card swap at will. Nice product Buy.com.

I happened upon this while looking for a replacement usb cable for my Casio camera so I could get my pictures onto my computer. The cable would have been 20+ dollars and would not have been convenient because I would have constantly had to attach the cable and camera docking station to the computer every time I wanted to look at a picture. This memory card reader was much cheaper and is extremely simple to use. One of the best things is you can easily bring this with you anywhere you go anytime you want to add pictures to a computer besides your own (friends/family/etc.). It is true plug and play. The only thing that I can say I didn't like is that when you plug it in, it will import every picture from your memory card onto your computer rather than allowing you to choose...so if you have a ton of pics on your memory card and only want a chosen few on your computer, you will have to spend some time deleting them once they are imported. That aside though, this product is great and very well priced.

The reader is very small and compact. I use it to read the 8GB memory cards from my camera and it is super fast. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a small and fast SDHC USB card reader. Because of the small size and the fact that you can close the covers with a memory chip installed, it also makes a great USB Thumbdrive. Super nice product and great price.

Seems like when you stop tracking storage technology for just a few months, you realize just how fast it evolves. This was the case when I finally upgraded to a new digital camera that can take HD video clips (btw, I love my new Panasonic DMC-TZ5!). Along with that I purchased a 16Gb SD card which uses the newer "SDHC" standard. I quickly discovered that my good 'ol Multi-Card ready does not support this standard. After some comparison shopping, I settled on buying this Eforcity reader. It is small, so it fits neatly into my camera's carrying case (this is useful if you are on the road and want to transfer the content to a laptop or someone else's PC). It comes with a plastic cap for the USB side which is prone to getting lost. I was surprised that there is a cover on the other side (mounted on a hinge) which allows you to keep the SD card plugged in and then close the cover over it. These covers as well as the rest of the casing seems to be made of cheap plastic - so I am not sure how long it will last. As long as it does, it seems to work very well with my 16GB SD card. Considering the low price, it is a great value.

Quick delivery, perfect device. Very substantial, and couldn't be easier to use. Only problem was that I had to pry the cap off with a screwdriver the first time, haha, but that was easy and it works perfectly so that's nothing against the product or function themselves.

Bought this product for my camera SD card and phone microSD card. Works great on a Mac. I do agree that the flap over the card insert is a little flimsy. I try and be careful with it because I could very easily snap it off. Besides that, its a great little product especially for the price.

Bought it to use with 4 gb SDHC cards as well as 2 gb SD cards. Works great. Very small and easy to carry. Can leave a SD card in it and use it as a USB thumb Drive. Really priced right!
