I just got this unit and tried it with my Honda Pilot. It does not have an extension arm; which makes your phone/ipod really close to the 12V outlet in your car; might be hard to reach depending on where you have the outlet in your car. Positive side of that is; it is one piece, no long messy wires; looks neat and makes it very portable. When i connected it to my iphone 3g, I got a message that "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone". I thought of giving it a shot any way. I tried in two FM bands (88.3 & 88.7) and it was really good. No static whatsoever. I tried on my wife's car (01camry) and i had a lot of static on the same bands. I guess it is to do with the car's FM receiver too. It also has stereo out port which can be used if you have an aux jack in your car. I used a headset to test it and it works fine. In fact, it simultaneously transmits on FM. It comes with a 10 inch male to male wire which might (not) be sufficient but you can always buy a long enough cable at radio shack. Even though I get the message that this accessory is not supported, it still charges and transmits on FM. It just a little annoying (that's why i gave 3 in overall satisfaction). It says its 8 in 1 here but the packaging says 6 in 1. Not sure what 2 things are missing cuz I don't see a description that lists it out. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 For the money it works pretty well Wednesday, July 08, 2009 Angelzzz from CT
I have the same issue as others with the unit getting in the way of the shifter, but I also have an outlet inside my console with an AUX plug so I can use it in there with either radio or AUX. Then its hidden from view when I leave the car. The remote and unit didn't seem to really be in sync and the range of stations wasn't coming up with stations I could get on my radio. But it charges my phone and plays music, which I still have to add on the phone! Was this review helpful?

As others said, the main issue with this is that the cigarette lighter plug is "hard fixed" to the unit. It is NOT on a cable. Thus, you must plug it in within a few inches of your adapter hole, and that many times is too close to the shifter, as in my case (2006 Crossfire). I could plug it in to test (the unit worked fine) but it was rubbing right up against the shifter, thus it couldn't be used in a real-life driving situation. Too bad, had to return it. I'm going with a hard-wired unit that attaches to the back of my CD players audio wires, and I can put in the glovebox. Too bad my radio/CD player doesn't have an AUX unit. Was this review helpful?
