I have an older projection TV that does not have any HDMI inputs on it. I received a new Blu-Ray player for Xmas that has HDMI. Since I'm already using the component connections for my cable box and Xbox, this converter cable was my only choice. I could have used the composite video, but that defeats the purpose of getting a decent picture. I connected it up and it worked great. It's also much cheaper than any of the cables you'll find at local retail stores. Was this review helpful?

I got this cable to hook up my xbox to my monitor. Works great, and the delivery from the 3rd party that was selling this was quick.
If you're buying this product for the same reason, keep in mind that you have to use the standard audio cables(I had to buy a RCA to 5.1 audio adapter) for audio. If you didn't buy MS's overpriced AV adapter then you will have to break open the plastic casing on the standard AV cable to fit in this hdmi cable at the same time - worked great for me. It's not a fault of the cable, it's MS's poor design to make you pay $50 for an adapter. Was this review helpful?

Even with shipping, this was one of the cheapest DVI-HDMI cables anywhere. Cable quality is generally good with what appears to be gold plated connectors. Easily allowed the viewing of 1080p material from my PC graphics card. There was a inch wide black border on my 56 inch tv but that may or may not be because of the cable itself.
