We spent about 2 months searching and reviewing air purifiers toiling over what size, brand, CADR specs, etc…. After my 10 month old started her second bout with RSV we had to make a decision. We chose this one because of the reputation of the company and reviews we read about their products. Once we received this True HEPA filtered purifier (not HEPATech or HEPA Like), I pulled it out of the box and turned it on. Everything was already in place and despite other sites that state these come without the pre or HEPA filter is not true. We could smell the carbon from the carbon pre-filter for about a half day and then it went away. It was not overbearing and the baby was still able to be in the room with it. As far as quiet, I can’t put it into words. This filter is SUPER quiet. On speed setting 1, if there is anything or anyone in the room making noise, you can’t hear the purifier. This was very important because as many may know, babies tend to sleep lighter at night than day. You can knock down the wall and build an addition on to the house while my 10 month old is asleep during the day. At night, you can’t put on socks in a separate room without fear of an outburst followed by at least an hour of comforting. We keep it set on 2 all through the night. As far the the difference in the air quality, I don’t have enough review space to get into that. Get this air purifier. We bought a second one for our bedroom. Was this review helpful?
