This product just works! Unlike the BS from others, you just plug the HDMI cords in and out and the thing just works! No power cord needed although you can if you need the boost. Im just glad I can now use the Cable Box,Xbox 360, PS3 and Receiver all without having to switch the wires. Was this review helpful?

I'll admit when I first looked at this product I was very skeptical that it was actually going to work good. If it worked, I was skeptical of the video quality thinking it would lose the quality it had when directly connected. I was definitly wrong and happily suprised that it worked perfectly as described. The remote is really not needed as it switches between the active HDMI signal almost seamlessly. I highly recommend this product as it comes with a free HDMI cable and works great and is cheaper than the name brand switches! You will not be disappointed. PS: I was confused as I thought it needed to have a power cord, but the HDMI source powers the unit and does not need a seperate power cable. Was this review helpful?

This is one of the few that works well with the dish networks vip722 pvr. it has auto-switching (which may or may not work depending on whether your connected components shut down their hdmi ports when they power down), priority based switching (in the event multiple connect components are powered on), and manually switching (which works great with logitech harmony programmable remotes). also works well with dvi based tvs (if you have optional hdmi2dvi cable). i tried the joytech switch but it does not work as well as this one. I have my PS3, 360, and PC all connected to my tv which has only one hdmi port on it through this switch. Great price, it has a remote, and to top it all off it comes with a free hdmi cable. This is too good of a deal to pass up if you're looking for a hdmi switch to only connect a few items to one hdmi port. The fact that it auto switches from my PC to one of the consoles when I turn them on is great also. Was this review helpful?

This device switches perfectly between my cable box and my Playstation 3. It doesn't automatically switch to my upscaling Samsung DVD player, but I wasn't expecting it to anyway. My kids can pop in their kids DVD's and games into the PS3 and start watching them on their own. If it can work for kids 6 and under, it can work for anyone. Was this review helpful?

Extremely compact and simple to use (just plug it in and it works). I love the auto switch function. Under normal circumstances you never need to use the included remote. It simply switches to whatever device gets turned on. There is a plug for an external power supply but it does not come with one. I'm not sure why you would need an external supply unless maybe to boost the signal across extremely long cables or perhaps some devices don't provide enough power through their HDMI interface. I'm using it with 6ft cables to switch between an XBox 360 and PS3 and it works flawlessly. It arrived without an HDMI cable but when I contacted CECompass by email they apologized and immediately sent the missing cable. Definitely recommended. Was this review helpful?

I paid for this what one of the local rip-off stores would have charged me just for a 6' cable. This device works perfectly and it came with a 6' cable. No need for the remote and receiver. Just hook up your inputs and it will switch to the most recent input that was turned on. I didn't have to reprogram my Logitech Harmony remote. It works great. What more could a person wish for in an HDMI switcher? Vote for Buy.com.
The shipping took about business 8 days but that is still within the 7-14 advertised. Can't complaint. Was this review helpful?

This product rocks! I was looking for something that was small that I could store out of sight and was functional. The product was better than advertised and arrived quickly.
