This was a present for my almost five year old daughter. She loves it. We loaded it with kid songs and after we explained pause is not the same as off we all have enjoyed it. What we liked the most is you don't have to load software before putting music on it. Was this review helpful?

I gave this as a gift for my niece's 10th birthday, and it's a huge hit. Worked easily right out of the box, she caught on to the shaking function very quickly, and I very much appreciate that it includes everything you need in the package--even the battery. The preloaded "children's music" is actually a decent (and appropriate) blend of pop-ish music--not little-kid or Disneyesque stuff. Only one complaint: the earbuds that come with it are *huge*, and there was no way she could get them to fit in and stay in her ears. I assume they're trying to protect little ears from having something small shoved too far inside them, but when that makes the earbuds unusable it's kind of silly. This wasn't a big deal on the day, as the shaker comes with built in speakers (and they provide surprisingly good sound!) but the rest of us don't always want to listen to whatever the 10-y-o is listening to! We'll have to get her some lightweight headphones or something to replace them. Was this review helpful?

Nice player for the money and for my 7 year old. Easy to use and the speaker is a good option. Only thing is sometimes it locks up and I have to reset the battery. I read that I should reformat the card, just haven't had time. Was this review helpful?

I got this when it was on sale. What a deal!
It is bulky but it comes with a clip that I can clip on my clothes (but doing that too much will stretch your shirt...I recommend clipping it on your belt loop. The earphones cords are long enough) and it's really light.
The shaking is a little hard because you have to push the play/pause button while you shake, and if you don't shake fast enough you'll turn it off.
And it's not that random...I think it skips forward 3 or 4 songs.
I wish it skips more, but oh well.
The speaker is pretty good...I can hear the music from a neighboring room. Great in the car...especially because I drive with windows open.
It's meant for kids but can be used by adults too! Was this review helpful?

I thought it will go to next song by simply shaking the player. But not so. I door on the side, which covers battery, SD card is coming out very frequently for mere touching.

We have an infant and bought this item to use in leu of animatronic music boxes. Load this up with Baby Eistein cd's and you'll never have to listen to the annoying sounds from baby mobiles, high chairs, etc. again! The built in speaker is pretty good and the adjustable sound level is great for my purpose, and it's easy enough to use even when dealing with Baby! The 1 gig IS a 1 gig SD card, however, so there is no built in memory, and the flashing lcd gets annoying. Still great though! Was this review helpful?

I love my mp3 Shaker! I have an mp3 player I use for when I go running--but the built in speaker and cute structure of the shaker make it the perfect accessory for listening to music on the go! First off, I have about 10 mp3 players from old 256mb models all the way up to a 30gb zune. This is a fantastic player and a steal at $20.00. Has a built in speaker which isn't going to rock the house, but great for kids who don't want to use headphones. It does have dual headphone jacks (2 can listen at once) if you want to use headphones. It uses a single AAA battery which i prefer, if it dies just pop on another, no waiting until the battery is recharged. Also, has an sd card slot to upgrade the storage. Its a fantastic player. Only downside is it's round in shape, so it's probably a little big for a pocket. Does come with a lanyard and mountain-climbing type caribiner clip so you can clip it on a belt-loop or anywhere else. I have several other Sandisk players and they are top-notch and well built.
