What a great holiday find. My wife loved the gift. There was a quick guide to help us use the basic function options right out of the box. The custom setup options were easy to access and understand, with little practice. More than a good deal for basic photography. Only those who need more internal color format options should hesitate. Mustek! Who has really heard of it? I never have. My original intentions were to buy my wife a great DSLR camera like the Nikon D80 or D40x. But those were priced too high for us at the time. So I decided to compromise and find a great point-and-shoot camera instead. I researched many including Sony, Canon, and more. But then I found this Mustek MDC-830Z 8.1 mega pixel camera. At first I thought, what a piece of junk. It's not only an off-brand but also cheap. Probably too good to be true, right? WRONG, Big WRONG! It's a new brand of camera and is definitely underrated. It's fast, very user friendly, takes surprisingly great pictures (and I mean GREAT), has practical and professional features, and its 8.1 mega pixels. That beat most of the competition. If you are looking for a great buy all together, including price, product, and professionalism, this camera is for you. And once again, great shipping and ease of transaction with Buy.com again! I PURCHASED THIS CAMERA FOR MY DAUGHTER FOR CHRISTMAS AND I WANTED TO GIVE HER MY $300 CAMERA AND TAKE HERS. THIS CAMERA TAKES BEAUTIFUL PICTURES AND I WOULD RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A DIGITAL CAMERA. ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS AS IF THE EXTERIOR IS MADE OUT OF PLASTIC AND MAYBE WOULD FALL TO PIECES WITH ONE DROP THIS CAMERA IS DEFINITELY A STEAL BEING AN 8.1 MEGA PIXEL. I bought two of these, one for each of my kids. Main reasons I chose this camera was price and it came with a rechargeable battery, unlike many in this price range that you will need to continually have to purchase batteries for. I am a bit of camera buff, and own several Nikon professional digital cameras. These are not bad cameras at all, especially for the price. The picture quality is far from my Nikons - but, unless your a semi-pro photographer or better, you should be happy with this camera. Easy menu options, nice features. Was this review helpful?

I am very satisfied with my camera. This camera lives up to the specifications stated in the add. I was a little disappointed that it will only take an additional 1 gig SD card, but the quality for the money can't be beaten. Was this review helpful?
