After awhile of debating between a few different new products for digital drawing, I finally settled on the Wacom Intuos 6x8, and I couldn’t be happier with it! Years ago, I had an older model tablet, the Wacom Graphire, that I got very good use out of for a long time before it broke (it got physically damaged, not due to a problem with the product), so I was already familiar with Wacom’s products and their reliability & ease of use. I went a long time without a tablet after my Graphire, and while I do enjoy using regular paper for artwork, there are so many benefits to going digital: You don’t waste paper; you don’t have to deal with messy paints; when combining a tablet with a laptop/notebook you have the convenience of an entire portable art studio; you never run out of ink/lead; etc. so I decided to look for a new one. The Wacom Intuos makes digital drawing feel as natural as drawing on paper. Things like pressure sensitivity (the line gets thicker and thinner depending how hard you press), and a built-in eraser (flip the pen over and erase mistakes just like a real pencil), can almost make you forget you are not using ‘real’ art tools. I highly recommend having a good art program to get even better use of your tablet (Most of them have a free trial period to download so you can see which ones work best for your style). Art programs make wonderful use of the features of a tablet such as having many different realistic art tools to use; i.e. you can set your digital pen to mimic different types of paintbrushes, crayons, pencils, and pens as well as work in different digital paints that act like their real life counterparts. If you want to make a watercolor painting, or a colored pencil drawing, etc. it is all conveniently there. If you love to draw, the Wacom Intuos is a great investment. It is inexpensive, light & portable, and easy to get used to. Whether you like to draw for fun or seriously, the Wacom Intuos will quickly become one of your new favorite art tools.

This tablet is great. Easy to use, easy to learn, and a lot of fun. It works great with photoshop,and most any function on my computer. The 6x8 works perfect for me and is very portable. I thought it would take a lot of practice learning to use a tablet and watching the screen as I was drawing. But, I just jumped right into it and I picked it up way faster than I thought I would. Overall, this product is well worth the money. Wacom is the way to go if you're ever contemplating buying a drawing tablet.

I bought this for my bf for Christmas and in his words "It is so awesomeee!" I don't have all the details but he says the shortcuts are great. All you have to do is keep the pen close to the tablet to make a mark. Sorry I can't give more details but I will try to give an update as he plays with it more and I hear about it.

WOW! What a tool. Can't imagine how useful it will be when I actually learn how to use. A whole different level of control in photo editing. Wish the 4x6 unit had set of button controls for lefties. Had to buy the 6x8 unit to get such.

Outstanding price for this tablet. I'm thoroughly impressed and pleased with my new "toy' This tablet has awakened my love for drawing. The tablet is just the right size for mobility and ease of use and comfort. Instead of drawing on paper and scanning it in, this bad boy lets you draw, paint and erase directly in Illustrator and Photoshop, saving you one step. I use it everyday now, it's also good for photo touchups and editing. Nothing short of awesome!

Awesome, unbelievable life altering technology. If art is your hobby or a major interest of yours, this will revolutionize your craft. The product is easy to use unstinctive and is so amazing that you very quickly forget that its digital and not a pen or a paintbrush.
