The Donner cut does improve on the released version in some ways, but it's hardly the substantial upgrade many fans were hoping for. Obviously, a TV series has to have a story compelling enough to carry the show through a 20-something episodes. Unlike a movie, which is only a couple of hours long, a TV series needs to find a balance between delivering regular conclusions so that the viewers feel satisfied, while also setting up new twists and developments, which will keep the viewers wanting to come back. read the full review | |
