Memory Almost Full (Deluxe Limited Edition) | | Artist: Paul Mccartney Release Date: 6/5/2007 Format: CD -- Download Album for $12.89 and Tracks from $0.99 | User Rating: 4.5 | | Video Reviews Available: 1 | | Paul McCartney - Memory Almost Full - CD By: Josh Hathaway - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 6/5/2007 10:51 AM | | Memory Almost Full, the title of Paul McCartney's new album, is a good summation for the music presented on the record. This is an album of compact, ornate sketches detailed with a full palette of standard and unusual instruments. Most of the songs on MAF settle on a single pattern or idea and explore it quickly; only two of the 13 tracks extend beyond the four-minute mark. Where his previous album, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard had a grander, more sweeping feel to it, MAF has a comparatively simpler and sunnier feel. read the full review

Rocket Man: Number Ones (Rmst) (Spkg) | | Artist: John,Elton Release Date: 3/27/2007 Format: CD -- Download Album for $9.99 and Tracks from $0.99 | | Elton John - Rocket Man: Number Ones - CD By: Joe Harris - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 4/19/2007 9:30 AM | | A nice anthology that stops short of grabbing the listener by the jugular. Flamboyantly dressed pop master Elton John has released another compilation of his most prominent songs. A few problems aside, Rocket Man: Number Ones is a good collection of John's best loved hits. Why care about yet another Elton John anthology? Offering 17 songs, this album is more expansive than his 1974 Greatest Hits record, for example. It is not a complete collection, but a useful addition to a personal Elton John collection. Let's further examine the "why care" question. read the full review
