Wilk - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 11/25/2007 9:03 PM | | Live Free or Die Hard is just another chapter of the Die Hard series. There is really nothing new at this point, except for the PG-13 rating. Even without the R-rating, McClane is still being thrown into crazy situations against terrorists armed with machine guns and explosives, yet somehow beats the crap out of all of them for a final showdown with the mastermind. It's a formula that has successfully worked for three previous installments. read the full review

There’s a wonderful twist in characters as Cole begins to believe he’s crazy and his psychiatrist has to convince him he’s right. Brad Pitt was nominated for an Oscar for his stand-out portrayal of a mental patient.

Die Hard. This time, it's personal. To make the long and extremely silly plotline of Die Hard With a Vengeance short, it breaks down like this. John McClane (Bruce Willis) is back in New York City where he's separated from his wife. The brother of Hans Gruber, from the original Die Hard, is out to get McClane and make some cash for himself in the process, bringing a pack of East German stooges with him to cause trouble. Add to this the character Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson), a Harlem shop owner, who becomes McClane's unlikely sidekick, and a whole lotta bombs exploding all over the city, and what do you get? Well, I still haven't figured that out. read the full review

| | Die Hard 2-Die Harder | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Die Hard 2: Die Harder - DVD Review By: Brian Holcomb - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 6/23/2007 8:47 AM | | Die Hard 2 or as I clearly remember it, Die Harder is no match for the original. It's not even a match for the third part in the series. But it's still an effective actioner from an era where every other film was described as "Die Hard in a ----" fill in the blank. This could be seen as one of them, "Die Hard in an Airport" and for all of its flaws it still delivers a well crafted action film with the same kind of irreverent tone as the original. read the full review | |
