Starring Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under) as the titular Dexter Morgan, the show focuses on Dexter, a blood-spatter expert that works for the Miami Police Department. Beyond just working for the police though, Dexter happens to be a serial killer. read the full review

It is, however, the definitive version for fans and newcomers alike. While the new material doesn’t necessarily alter the experience on a grand scale, it does offer a couple of nice gems, ones which would be sorely missed if swayed to watch the theatrical cut again. read the full review

The Saw films will doubtless continue and soon enough Saw IV will probably be relegated to the same blur with which I now see the other sequels. But for now it's the odd movie out -- as cheap and cheesy as its brethren, but oddly boring for long stretches. By now, these Saw characters have been having a very bad couple of murder-packed weeks. Maybe it would be best if the filmmakers skipped ahead and put this behind them.

This third and possibly final entry in the series stands up to its predecessors in both categories, though maybe not in the follow through. read the full review

| | No Country For Old Men (Blu-ray) | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | No Country For Old Men - DVD Review By: Scott Gwin - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 3/10/2008 9:48 PM | | No Country For Old Men, based on the Cormac McCarthy novel and the latest collaboration by the Coen brothers, is a messy film that doesn't shy away from the nasty, bitter subject matter that it undertakes. You witness the first murder, a vicious and heinous event, in the first four minutes. The second arrives within the first five. The title of the movie explains the premise, though a better description for the movie might be "no movie for weak stomach". read the full review | |

| | Lonely Hearts | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Lonely Hearts - DVD Review By: Jarad I. Wilk - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 8/6/2007 6:01 PM | | Lonely Hearts is based on the true story of Raymond Fernandez (Jared Leto) and Martha Beck (Salma Hayek), notoriously known as the "Lonely Heart Killers" in the late 1940s. The duo would place ads in singles magazines and prey on lonely women, mostly lovelorn war widows, whom they would swindle and later kill. The bizarre couple, who "worked" as brother and sister in their schemes, left a trail of about 20 bodies from Long Island to Michigan. The movie decides to focus on the two homicide detectives, Elmer C. Robinson (John Travolta) and Charles Hildebrandt (James Gandolfini), who are chasing the killers, which makes for a rather dull, unfocused story.
