Caruso | | Format: DVD Release Date: 3/4/2008 | | Disturbia - DVD Review By: Rafe Telsch - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 8/5/2007 10:57 PM | | Once the murderer plot gets going, the movie starts to deter from its own setup. Completely a third-person narrative fixed on Kale, the movie starts to show the audience things Kale can't see in order to better set up the suspense. It's an incredibly disappointing move that removes any suspense that had built by that time. What good is keeping Kale homebound and telling the movie through his voyeurism if the narrative is suddenly going to let the audience in on things he doesn't know. read the full review

McNamara - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 10/31/2007 10:03 PM | | The Invisible is a film that tries to be slick and stylish, using loud atmospheric music and gimmicky direction to convey emotion instead of allowing the characters to present their story. This choice comes off as intrusive and overly stylistic, to the point where we're acutely aware of the film trying to woo us with style in an attempt hide its faults. Unfortunately for Goyer, his film has far too many weaknesses and he merely compounds his mistakes by becoming so active behind the camera. read the full review
