In Clerks II, uber-slacker Randal described the Lord of the Rings trilogy as a series of endless walks. Nothing but nonstop, pointless treks. One has to wonder what his reaction would be to the overwhelming ambulation in the two Chronicles of Narnia films. While The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe had origins and mythos to highlight, Disney's latest entry in the franchise, Prince Caspian, requires a more minimal setup. All returning director Andrew Adamson has to offer as a result is more shoe to footpath action, with the occasional CGI-sparked battle to break up the constant strolling. read the full review | |

 | | Heroes-Season 1 | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Heroes - Season 1 - DVD Review By: Kelly West - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 9/4/2007 8:53 PM | | What creator Tim Kring has done with the series shows that he recognizes that TV is a very different medium than film. Obviously, a TV series has to have a story compelling enough to carry the show through a 20-something episodes. Unlike a movie, which is only a couple of hours long, a TV series needs to find a balance between delivering regular conclusions so that the viewers feel satisfied, while also setting up new twists and developments, which will keep the viewers wanting to come back. read the full review | |

 | | Children of Men (Widescreen) | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Children of Men - DVD By: Chris Beaumont - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 3/26/2007 7:18 PM | | The best of 2006 arrives on DVD. It is time to see what you missed. Children of Men topped my best of 2006 list, and I am happy to report that it has successfully made the translation to the small screen with its impact intact. Alfonso Cuaron's film thrusts you into a dangerous and brutal world, yet brings hope for the future. This vision of the future is bleak and grim and there is a distinct feeling of hopelessness. Cuarón delivers a daring future world that takes you on a journey through the despair to the dawn of a new hope. read the full review | |

 | | Idiocracy | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Idiocracy - DVD By: Margaret Williams - Cinema Blend DVD Reviews Published on: 1/22/2007 10:55 PM | | Idiocracy has a lot to offer as far as social commentary goes and Mike Judge keeps up his opinion without pausing to worry about what others will think. That's what makes him so good. But, unlike his other film and the lasting effect of Office Space and its cast of characters, Idiocracy won't be so loved and memorable. It's a good film for the time that it is running, but after the movie is over, it is not so endearing. Idiocracy is definitely a film to watch, but not necessarily a DVD to buy. read the full review | |

 | | Wall-E (3-Disc with Digital File) new! | | Videos/DVDs: See more matches | | | Video Reviews Available: 1 | | WALL-E - Three-Disc Special Edition - DVD Review By: Blake Matthews - Blogcritics.org Reviews Published on: 11/24/2008 1:37 PM | | The film can definitely be viewed as a commentary about mankind and our overindulgences and need for excess; however, the kids will love all the robots. In fact I watched it with my almost two-year-old who was running around saying “WALL·E!” just like WALL·E does when identifying himself to various robots and lifeforms. So the movie is fun for the whole family and works on multiple levels, but it's primarily a fun movie about robots. What more could kids and sci-fi lovers want? read the full review | |
