Order Cancellation Process

Buy.com strives to process your order as quickly as possible. In our effort to prevent delays, the period of time available to cancel an order is short. You may elect to cancel your entire order or a portion of your order as long as the order has not entered the shipping process. An item that is in the shipping process cannot be cancelled because it is being picked from the shelves, packaged, and stacked on the loading dock.

Please follow the directions below to see if your order may be cancelled.

  1. Go to My Account (located at the top right of this page).

  2. Click on  

  3. Sign in with your e-mail address and password. Your most recent order will be located at top of the page.

  4. Click "Request to cancel" located directly below the status of the item purchased. Note: If you do not see a "Request to Cancel" link, your order is being prepared for shipment and may no longer be cancelled by you or our customer service department.

  5. Click "Confirm Request"

If your order contains multiple items you may cancel a portion of your order by following steps 4 and 5 for the item you wish to cancel.


Cancelling Buy.com Marketplace Purchases

Buy.com transmits your order to the seller shortly after your order is placed. You will need to contact the seller directly to request that the order be cancelled.

To contact the seller:

  1. Go to My Account (located at the top right of this page).
  2. Click on  

  3. Sign in with your e-mail address and password. Your most recent order will be located at top of the page. Note: If a "Request to Cancel" link is present under the status of the item, you may click on this link to cancel your order. If "Request to Cancel" is not available proceed with the next step.

  4. An e-mail address for the seller will be provided by clicking on the link located after text "To request a cancellation, please contact" (link to seller)

Canceling Preordered Items

Please note that preordered games, videos, DVDs and books enter the shipping process when the order is created. This happens prior to release date in order to ensure timely delivery. As a result, preordered games, videos, DVDs and books cannot be canceled.
