Touching is very much in vogue these days, but if you plan to do a lot of typing, whether it be texts, notes or even novels, there's still no real substitute for the tactile response of a full, hard-key QWERTY keyboard. And it's the keyboard that dominates the Nokia E71. Smaller than its predecessor, the E61, Nokia has still managed the trick of making it perfectly easy to use, with nicely curved rubberised buttons and bright backlighting which, thanks to a clever light sensor, only kicks in when you need it....more

The N78 may not be the priciest example in Nokia's N-series of 'multimedia computers', but this Symbian S60-powered smartphone manages to cram in a serious amount of functionality, including a 3.2 megapixel camera, quality music player and GPS sat-nav technology, all in a compact case that is a serious looker....more

Jabra BT3030 "Dog Tags" Review

The BT3030 is a decent performer for handling voice calls, but falls flat in the music department. If the device is only used for handling voice calls then the need for the "dog tag" remote control part is an unnecessary component, particularly if there is a tangled mess to sort out after having the BT3030 floating around in your bag. But if you want to make a fashion statement and music quality is not a high priority then the Jabra BT3030 is the go....more

Nokia N81 8GB Review

The N81 8GB is a mobile that sometimes let me down, and others times delightfully faded into the background. Just the design of the device screams of something needing a touchscreen and touch-sensitive controls, and I was let down where I could not do so. Even still, the buttons and controls were well placed and for the most part easy to figure out. Where the music, phone, and Internet abilities were great, and above that of many mobiles; the camera and some aspects of the general user interface were disappointing. ...more
